Husband & I and kids went to this spot and everything is on point from the steak to the mimosas to the French toast my 15 year old daughter ate the whole plate. She is a very picky eater. I love me some soul food and this is definitely the place to go. Staff is very nice. We will be back.

Food is regular nothing to write home about. But it is FRESH. Everything else is super nice.

I place put together some awesome pictures for you all. This was my first time here I went craving a southern comfort meal it was amazing I recommend the cheddar cheese grits shrimp and catfish with the cinnamon waffles it was absolutely amazing. Although I am sleepy now it is very filling. The music was diverse. However everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. Thank you. There's indoor and sometimes outside seating depends on what days you arrive. The food from my point of view is very expensive I took a leap of faith I'm satisfied. It's small yet cozy. There are waits for your food, getting seated at times too. Don't just take my word try it for yourself.

Specifically visit the restaurant because it was blacked owned. As 3 black women we didn't receive respectful customer service.

From Philly to BK and it was worth the trip! When arriving and asking questions about available seating and if it was Black owned, the staff response was somewhat standoffish but I didn’t let that deter me from trying the food. The waitress was nothing short of amazing. She provided the right amount of attention and made sure everything was up to our liking. All of her suggestions was on point. We ordered the catfish sandwich with Cajun fries and it was awesome. The food was served piping hot, I mean hottttttttt, straight from the fryer to the table. I don’t know what’s in the Cajun seasoning they put on those fries but they need to sell it! Overall, I say this spot is definitely a go to when in Brooklyn.

Disappointing Sunday working from hime and decided to order something local
breakfast. This experience was terrible and lacked effort entirely. I was charged nearly $30 for a breakfast that lacked effort and fell short of my expectations. The breakfast provided to me consisted of only half of a waffle. Additionally, the waffle was extremely dry and it was packaged mix. The blueberries thrown topped for extra not even incorporated in the dry waffle. The grits watery. The home fries were the only eatable item.
Furthermore, I received only three pieces of hard bacon. Overall, the quality of the food was subpar, and I found it to be a terrible experience.

The brunch in this place is absolutely delicious. 10 out of 10 The service is absolutely great and the mimosas or wonderful.

The food was bomb the service was nice but the tables are a bit close to each other and the place is a little small but I support black owned businesses and me my daughter my friend and her son enjoyed our time there so thank you.

I just called this establishment right now. The manger was very extremely rude. Hung up on me. Manager said she doesn’t have to tell anyone. About the service charge. This place is rip off This place charges you a service charge. Never once mentioned its. IDs everyone but us. Wonder why. Horrible. My husband is putting a tip on
The receipt server Thea sees putting in a tip and does not say a word. Me and me husband went there for brunch. Food terrible. Waiting so long. Place was hot. They had only fans. They couldn’t afford to put on the air conditioner. Thea was our server. The only one there. A family was there complaining about their meal was cold. This place needs to be shut down. Horrible service.

We walked over to Shane's after seeing the Book of HOV for my Mommy's Birthday. It's a little off putting at first because you can't just walk in, so it's awkward as you're standing outside, waiting, the windows are covered with a bunch of signs, so you can't see much of anything. Finally someone comes out and asks how many are in our party and then we are ushered in. We are walked through a front dining area, right past the kitchen and then down some stairs to another eating area. Our server was fantastic and she was very attentive and helpful. My Mommy and I ordered the Whiting Fish with the Cheddar Cheese Grits. My brother ordered the chicken wings and Belgian Waffles. I had the homemade lemonade, while my mother enjoyed a Heineken and my brother had a white wine Sangria. Food is delicious, incredibly flavorful and I didn't need to add anything else! Well, just a bit of hot sauce on my Fish. We'd revisit for lunch/brunch, if we find ourselves back in that area.

Awsome place with a very good food and nice waiter.
"Good food is not fast and fast food is not good", agree with that, you can go in this place. Enjoy

It was my birthday and I was dining alone. Ordered shrimps and grits. The waiter was extraordinarily gracious to me when I told him it was my birthday.

As a senior. I anticipated that it would be your average'eat and leave' experience, but I left there feeling buoyed, delighted with my meal and energized.

Food was mediocre at best. Prices are ridiculous for eggs. Smh, a family of 4 breakfast wast $115 plus tip. Home of the $8 hot cocoa.

Visited last year and wasn’t thrilled with the chicken and waffles, but said I’d give it another try this year. Paid $27 for a meal I could’ve gotten at IHOP. Eggs were rubbery, French toast had no flavor, and bacon looked unappetizing — threw it away and won’t be back.

Oh my my my where to start so I've been trying to come here on the weekends for brunch no luck but baby during the week your guaranteed a seat me and my niece went here during the week and wasn't disappointed first off the fact they made us aware of it being hot in the upstairs seating level they automatically said we sitting you down stairs where it's cool at I appreciated that. Second customer service is in point and last thing is the food omg DELICIOUS I had the catfish and grits baby I left no crumbs my niece had the pancakes whew baby I could Kiss the cook definitely a 10/10 you must stop in there I guaranteed you won't be disappointed and let's not forget the different types of mimosas and the music was definitely on point thank you so much I will be visiting again and bringing more people along
