Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel reviews
14It was the worst experience I had spending so much money for the room I could hear my neighbors and my neighbors could probably hear me you're me it was so noisy I've never had such a bad experience staying at a high scaled hotel would never stay there again
Great customer service. I’m there during construction period so it’s a little confused where to go but it’s convenient to places that I need to go. Will come back again hopefully the rooms will get renovated also
The hotel was under a major renovation when we arrived so parking/check in process was very confusing. We entered a side entrance of the hotel where we were met by a gentleman named John Walker. After trying to figure out where to go and check in the gentleman became very upset and started raising his voice and becoming very disrespectful to my group when we couldn’t understand where check in was. Definitely not how any guest should be treated after a long flight and ride to the hotel and not to mention this was my first time ever in New York, what a pleasant first interaction.
My hat goes off to the Manager Ed however, who personally came down to the lobby we were in and apologized for Johns behavior. After a brief explanation of the hotels security policy Ed personally walked my group to the 9th floor where a make shift check in office was set up. He got us all checked in and I can tell that he had conversations with his security staff as we were treated pleasantly and the rest of our stay was incredibly smooth. Thanks Ed!
The property is under renovation and there are no clear signs directing guests to the temporary property entrance. Ended up, entering the property through the Valet Car ramp.
When we arrived we were unprofessionally stopped by doorman John Walker. He did not allow us to check in and continued to act unprofessional until General Manager Ed arrived. Ed escorted us up to the temporary check in on the 9th floor and was professional in apologizing to our party for the delay and actions of John. Overall Ed handled the situation well.
Very outdated. Floors in the room are dirty. The walls might as well not be there. The room next to me is listening to music and I can hear every word. I just got here and can’t wait to leave.
Beautiful views and perfect location to both JFK and LGA airports. Great place to stay for an early morning flight.
Great room. Under a lot of construction. Even harder to find the entrance. So I had to call and they guided me to the opposite side of the building for their temporary entrance.
Staff were all super helpful and friendly. From the moment we walked through the door we were offered assistance. After check-in we went to our room and I noticed that the bedding was down feather (I have an allergy to down) and the tv wasn’t responding. We called the front desk and they had people up to fix both issues super quickly! I also loved that they arranged a car service to the airport for us. It took a bit off travel stress off of me and made my morning run much more smoothly.
Also good to note is that they are pet friendly and don’t charge a pet fee! (Unless there is damage, obviously). I had such a hard time finding a hotel near the airport that allowed pets after my reservation at Aloft was canceled due to covid shutdowns. Luckily I talked to the right person go recommended the Sheraton.
Very happy with this hotel!
I accidentally dumped wine on the bed. They want $500 for sheets and a blanket. Joel Buenviaje said he doesn’t care. I stayed at Marriot’s 60 nights a year. Time to switch to Hilton.
The location was excellent! We were in the heart of China Town and catching the train was an easy several blocks from the hotel. It was great experiencing authentic Chinese food.
Parking was reasonable as you validate your ticket during the entire stay. All the staff was pleasant, professional, and hospitable. Breakfast buffet was awesome.
Please consider the rest as constructive criticism:
Understanding that many buildings in New York are several hundred years old, we placed that in consideration when staying. The bathroom did not have any exhaust fan and the auto occupancy light that comes on is a blinding lumen during late night use of the bathroom - I which there was a dimmer switch; some of the grout lines needed better attention; the toilet seat was slipping off easily and we noticed that we have to keep the lever pressed for a few seconds for the water to flush; and the toilet flapper would stick inside the toilet tank.
I also noticed that the vent for air conditioner could be cleaned. We couldn't ignore an order in the hotel room which smelled a bit dusty. We noticed that the rug could use better upkeep: there were stains.
But we liked the welcoming and great smiles form everyone. The bartender was awesome. We will definitely return despite those hiccups.
Room smell old and mold I was stay 1502 for 1 night have to go front ask to re program key also I’m Marriott cc holder
Great location, close to subway station. Staying here for a class that I’m attending in the hotel. The room was comfortable and the rooms very clean, the restaurant here was awesome, I had breakfast twice and was impressed that they had fully cooked over easy eggs in their breakfast buffet. I had the hamburger for lunch one day that was delicious and plentiful.
