Staff are friendly and helpful. Large selection of foods make it easy to get what you neebdđd. One-stop shopping, may not have to make several stops to find what you need.

Awesome store and people working here. We've always done groceries here. I wanted to say "Thank you" to Rosanne who helped me start my "dead battery" car during her break. Thank you!

Im giving this place five stars alone simply because i was able to find a scotch bonnet pepper for a recipe i was trying. That pepper is not an easy one to come by!

I am a customer of this location for 35 years.

My favorite aisle of the store is the produce. This is the place to find the freshest bananas, peaches, plums, escarole, romaine lettuce and other produce.

The dairy aisle has a terrific variety of milk, yogurt, eggs.

Typically a decent store but can be overly crowded and disorganized. They have not handled this pandemic well but I do thank the staff for their work during this scary time for everyone.

FIRST: The hours are WRONG. The store opens 7 days a week:

SENIOR CITIZEN STORE HOURS: 7: 00 am - 8: 00 am
GENERAL STORE HOURS: 8: 00 am - 8: 00 pm

This shop is generally good. The staff may not be most polite compared to other stores in the area, but they do their jobs and they will try to help you if you look like they can't shrug you off.

COVID19 restrictions are kind of a mess.
Most likely you have to stand on line outside in the cold for half an hour or more to be let in.
Some kind of number system with a wall counter and / or speakers would be much better for both the employees and the shoppers.

Several shelves like toiletries and cleaners have been completely empty for weeks. Even gas stations around here can sell you toilet paper at this point.

Often self checkout is the surest way to pay. They only have about 6 of those tops, they all don't always work. They may have 1 support staff in charge of the area at best.

The following applies to this store's practices so it is relevant to put it here. But ShopRite is only a part of this problem and we must unite to raise awareness of it:

THERE NO RECICLYING. BUT THE PLASTIC BAGS BAN REMAINS IN EFFECT!

We shoppers are still charged the deposit fee for things like glass and plastic bottles.

At this point, I would still pay the fees and bring back the recycling without getting a refund if I at least had that option. I was told I cannot turn them back in at checkout.

Reciclyng gives our sanitation workers -who are risking their lives and health for us- some relief. Plus, we could maintain the habit of bringing things back to be recycled safely.

If it would be too hard to pay back our recycling now us, They could give us a gift card or some kind of IOU to redeem later. We are all trying to accommodate to the new normal as best we can. Let's all share the burden fairly.

By contrast, there is no problem maintaining the new plastic bags ban; and they are charging us even for paper bags. Paper and reusable bags are very cheap to make. The stores are raking in the profits while complicating the checkout process and holding back the lines.

This appears to be a statewide problem. ShopRite could be part of the solution. They could show leadership if they cared for our communities beyond the words they put on marketing slogans.

Big chains like theirs are the ones with the political and logistical influence to implement solutions quickly. All of us can join in with ShopRite if they help us. I can't help but wonder if they are using the pandemic as an excuse to avoid dealing these pesky regulations and cash in right under our noses.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare and the place feels somewhat dingey, but overall it's a good supermarket. One thing is for certain, this place is 100 times better than acme from Rosehill shopping center. I've bought meat that was 3 weeks expired from acme, don't go there unless you want salmonella.

Very disappointed. I don't like the produce in this store. They also seem to be out of a lot of things and didn't have the brands that other Shoprites have.

Friend misplaced his phone/wallet and realized it was missing. Phone was found and returned to customer service desk. Much thanks.

Best prices and some specialty Italian American products like fresh mozzarella and ricotta and season products. Shoprite has the best prices compared to all the big anchor supermarkets. I wish they had this shoprite closer to me than the Stop N Robs but some communities don't know good quality food so I have to drive a little further to come to the Thornwood Shoprite. Parking is a little hokie, the lot is very busy and people need to be patient with the high volume population that comes here.

The seafood department is fantastic, a really nice assortment of fish and shell fish always fresh. The people helping you are professional and knowledgeable. I ordered 13 lobsters, they were amazing. Thank you

Came in to do my weekly shopping the day before Mother's day to find the store had marked up all flowers by 50 pct or more. Holiday gouging is disgusting! Not cool

When I was new to the area I would eat from the local fast food restaurants. One day I wanted something healthy, and I went to the grocery store. I noticed they had hot fresh food, ever since then I’ve been a customer.

We always liked shopping at Shoperite. We like what they sell, and their staff. Open many hours, so choose when it is time for you to come here. And the home made bread is something you just have to try. Its been years, happy to review.

Store is way too small. Parking lot is hectic. Make sure you check your receipt because they price isn’t always right.

This place is always busy but has the best produce and meat selections. I shop here over any other grocery store.

My weekly shopping store and as usual they were out of stock on many of the sale items. Very frustrating. I gave up on rain checks cause I am not making a special trip back to the store for one or two items cause I waste more in time, effort and gas!

Great grocery store! Prices are very competitive and depending on what season it is, there’s a delicious potpourri of smells walking in. Sometimes the lack of people working the checkout counters can be peeving, but it is what it is. Sushi is stellar here, make sure to say hi to Andy there!
