Shore Park reviews
13Lovely park right on long island sound. Walking path in a loop by the water. Picnic tables. Playground with swings, slide, seesaw. Playground needs some upkeep and there is a lot of goose poop. Also during summer during daytime hours only open to Pelham Manor residents. I understand this is due to some strange clause in the will/estate of original landowner.
Shore Park is a beautiful spot. Can be called the “dog park” has a playground on the water and.
It’s too bad only Pelham manor residents are allowed. This should be posted on here somewhere on a big sign
Great park for a quiet walk with a nice breeze. Residents only on the weekend. Dogs can come it but please pick up after them. There is a playground for kids
I have been to Shore Park many times throughout the year. Sometimes the water level is low while other times it's high. It is so peaceful here. There's a gazebo where you can sit underneath for some shade. Canadian geese hang out here often so be careful where you walk (bird poop on the grass especially). There's also a playground for the kiddos. Benches are available along the waterside as well. My favorite time to come is in the evening before sunset. There is plenty of parking. And best of all it's free! It is one of Pelham's gems.
A pretty quiet Park
Very nice Love the view and
the area for the kids pretty clean
Needs to be maintained better, with regards to how many holes in the grass there are and mud. I like that dogs are allowed off leash until 9 a.m. But that also means grounds keepers should work on the holes dug by the dogs and or wildlife.
This park is on Shore Road just inside Pelham Manor.
It is small, allows dogs, clean up required, has a nice kiddie area and a small pavilion. Views of the Sound are amazing. There are benches, it is conducive to jogging, and in season has rest rooms. There is at least one small grill.
If it is all that great, why only three stars? As with many parks in Westchester County, it is limited to residents only, in this case Pelham Manor. The rule is in effect year round, but is enforced at the gate between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Enjoy the serenity.
Dogs not on the leash. Some dogs attack people. Dogs’ excrements are everywhere including the playground. Playground us dirty and swings are broken. Unbelievable that this park belongs to one of the richest villages in the USA.
If you live in Pelham Manor and like to walk the track or want to take the kids to a nice park with modern equipment this is the idea beautiful place near the sound.
Calm environment, not lot of bench to sit but definitely lot of grass to rest on. Good space for "Me time"
I have been bringing my dog to this park in the morning for years. Between 7 and 9am it is pup paradise and it is a great way for my dog to socialize. This week I was turned away from the parking lot by the local THUG that guards the gate. Apparently, Pelham Manor has contempt for "outsiders" and my 30lb dog and I pose some kind of threat to the locals. There is usually 15 cars are more there in the mornings for the dog play, this day there were 3. I guess the "not welcome" mat is what the locals would like to project to the surrounding community. I will not spend a dime in this town if I ever have the opportunity. Shame on the Pelham Bay snobs.
Water front view with lush lawn, a small walking track, playground and bathrooms. Great little park! The sign says it’s for residents and guests of residents of Pelham area, but there wasn’t a security check on a Monday early afternoon.
