Showcase Cinema de Lux Broadway, Hicksville NY

Huge parking area. Giant food court near theater entrance. Great seats. Comfortable recliners. Not crowded at all

The theater is a little run down and is short staffed. I don't understand why the drinks are away from the snacks, causing you to wait on two lines. Not my first selection to see a movie.

I have to say I love this theater. I have the AMC unlimited app and have another Theater set as my home theater for that. But I come to this Showcase one once in a while if I'm gonna go to the Round 1 Arcade also after the movie and make a day out of it. I have to say the Recliners are so comfortable that you can almost fall asleep in them. And to be honest. I Rate my theaters based on the seating alone. They are comfortable and not too crowded also. Enough leg room between Rows.

Normally a good theatre but today Sherma the manager chose to enforce the “no outside food” rule and lose our business forever.
We had just finished eating at the food court and had leftovers and she told me to put them in my car which would have made us late and it’s 20 degrees out.
Our taxpayer PPP money pays her pointless salary while she mismanages the business SMH @ this unprofessionalism

Happy to see the theaters open again. They are following safety guidelines with social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitizers all over. Once the movie is done a worker sanitizes all the seats that wear occupied.

I haven't been here since the midnight release of Star Wars Episode 1.of course, back then is was known as Broadway Multiplex Cinemas.i think.the very last time i was here, Star Wars Episode 3, again, the midnight showtime on its release day.anyway, the only reason i visited was the fact that Brooklyn, for some reason, is considered New York City & cinemas are not allowed to re-open.who knew when people say "iam going to the city" they mean Brooklyn.anyway, the staff, for 1, were very patient & welcoming.i mean they were in lock down for past 8 months.
2, i love what they did to the place.i have been to Showcase Cinemas in Brooklyn where they don't have reclining seats, so this was a big & welcoming & very comfortable surprise.
3, it was wonderful seeing films in cinemas again.wonderful going to cinemas again, even if it means trekking to Hicksville.besides the extraordinary care the staff took in cleaning after each feature & the fact i was the only patron in the 2 films i saw, it was a most wonderful experience.yes, i will do it again until cinemas re-open where iam or the other two cinema chains in LongIsland have better 1st daily showtimes.it would absolutely a plus if Showcase had earlier showtimes. 11: 30 AM for example.

We are not in the 1950's anymore, we are more health inclined. Lay off the masses amount of salt on the popcorn. Let the customers add the salt themselves. Plenty of seniors are salt sensitive and will not buy salt laden popcorn.

Just 2 problems. 1. They dont have a charging station so I can plug my phone to charge while I watch movie.

And 2. Why is the air conditioner on during the cold winter but the heater is off?

Buying tickets in advance is a must. Popcorn is always pretty good, even on weeknights. Sound and picture could be better in the smaller theaters. But I worked at another theater for several years so I'm a bit biased.

Very nice movie theatre with reclining seats and with ample space in the theatre (Not packed with seats). Very spacious and well constructed area within broadway mall.

Everything is great, only thing is the prices for popcorn and snacks are very expensive, wished they'd lower it a bit

They also don't offer any refill on popcorn or soda.in other theaters they do.why not here?

Recliner seats that you can reserve in advance. Only issue was theatre wasn't warm. On a cold day the temperature inside should have been warmer.

First time viewing a film here, pleasantly surprised. Clean, seats almost brand new, sound not too loud - very good movie experience.

Very comfortable reclining chairs; always clean. You feel almost like home. We enjoy going to the movies and now going more often.

The prices are okay, but I would recommend eating before going to the theater due to their food and drinks being overpriced.
