The ladies here did a WONDERFUL job altering my dress for my wedding! The girl at the front desk was super sweet and the woman who fixed my dress knew exactly what needed to be done to make it fit perfectly! Highly recommended and will be back for help in the future!

Wow amazing work. I had two designer pieces I could not trust with my dry cleaner who hems my pants.
1. They hemmed a silk pleated skirt and I can’t even tell where or how.
2. They also fixed leather straps on a cocktail gown, which now fits my petite frame like it was custom made.
They were efficient, did the alterations on my tight timeline, and executed them perfectly. I am so at ease that I finally found a place I trust.

Simply the best. I live on the East Side now and still bring my pieces all the way across town to Silhouettes & Profiles. I’ve even purchased a couple of their bespoke pieces. Incredibly hard working staff with exceptional taste. These are the ladies who Know.

I am floored by experience with this place. I used this service about 5 times.of those 5 times, 3 times I called or texted for an appointment and when I arrived the receptionist had not written down my appointment and was hostile to me when I walked in. While I was flabbergasted by this attitude, they did an good job and the tailor Irene was accommodating and did a good job. In two subsequent visits Irene was out and I worked another another tailor who was hostile about everything I was trying to get tailored. It was bizarre to be treated this way but I figured maybe she was having a bad day. I came in again 4 days ago with two more items but this same tailor was so hostile - and my appointment hadn’t been written down - that I decided to not even bother with the second item. When I asked the receptionist if we could fix the communication issue over appointments she responded in a rude manner “you were 15 minutes late”. I responded “wow you all are really hostile here so let’s just finish up these items and I’ll find another place”. TOday, 4 days later, I received a text from Irene informing me that although they’d had my clothes for 7 and 4 days respectively, they had not done any work on them and that she would “mail me my clothes by US Mail”. So they had my clothes for over a week, they aren’t competent enough to write down appointments, treat their customers with hostility and then don’t even do the work they were engaged to do. They won’t be in business for long

I find the ladies who now run this shop very rude!
When the old owner was still there “Claudette” the shop would welcome every body. Now the people working there were quite discriminatory.

I’m very suspicious of the reviews I read. Turnaround time was a week for minor alterations and the price was exorbitant. Price gouging during covid no less. I get that people are struggling but don’t take it out on the customer. If you like paying double for half the quality this is certainly your place.
