Skoob's Village Grille reviews
18Had a reservation but still had to wait for our table. Sat for a good 10-15 minutes before a waitress ask if we wanted a drink. So we ordered our food to. By the time we finally got our food, it was cold, so we had to have the waitress take it back & then they brought the wrong sandwich out for my husband. Very disappointed, I have been wanting to try this restaurant but we won’t be back. Plus we were not the only table complaining about things.
Large selection of options and reasonable prices! Came here for the first time recently and will definitely be back
This fish fry is Absolutely Brilliant!
It's massive, the breading is Perfect!
Great service!
Our second visit. Great service, food, and staff never disappointed. We will be back. Fish fry looks awesome!
First time here and the hostess and especially the waitress went above and beyond. Had a lot of fun and laughs with my girls ️
Very friendly atmosphere.bartenders are super nice, and the food is always good. I suggest everyone stop by and have a sub or the tacos all the other food is good as well
I can't tell you because they turned us away because we didn't have a reservation.
Food was good but not served hot. Ordered roast beef sandwich with wings.both were barely warm. Also a few patrons at bar were vaping inside along with one of the bartenders who appeared to be their friend. Waitress was nice n very apologetic. Not a fan.
We love it here, the staff, the food, it's all good. You won't leave hungry, the portions are generous. Or if you're just looking to have drinks, they have awesome bartenders and great atmosphere. They also have a trivia night on Tuesday that's fun. Check it out!
My husband and I just had lunch at Scoobs today. His Potroast sandwich was very good. But I had a Chef salad and I had to take out several lettuce leaves because they were wilted. I did tell the waitress and she offered to bring more lettuce which I declined. I just think that it was a poor job on behalf of the kitchen to serve this especially at 6.99 for a salad that had not much more than lettuce, shredded carrots, chick peas and a few cucumbers.
Lousy bar service! Only payed attention to her friends service. Cheap tasting booze. Lowest off the worst vodka. Won't go back again ever! Rated highly locally but not worth waisting your money $
This establishment was recommended to us today. I was absolutely amazed at the size of the beer battered fish fry, the crispiness, the taste. Homemade sides and fries generously placed on the plate. Just like an old fashioned fish fry. And the beer prices were reasonable not outrageous like it a lot of places now. The rest of the menu looked so good we will be back soon not just for a fish fry.
Great food and excellent service. Went for a fish fry and was surprised to find multiple varieties available. Servers were very attentive and worked quickly. We will be back.
This is the best fish fry I've ever had! I order the half portion, which is the size of most places regular size! The beer batter is perfect! Crispy outside and no "raw" batter - just crispy goodness! And the fish itself is so thick, meaty and white! Honestly, they have a huge menu, never had anything I didn't love. Makes it hard to decide but if it's a Friday- no thinking needed!
Will never ever go back the fish was asked to be broiled barely done and tasted of iodine the french fries were awful they were just heated through bagged junkie french fries the waitress was fine and friendly tried to be attentive but she was the only one on it's the kitchen that really was horrible I'm sorry I will never go back ever
Second time I have been to Skoob's. Laid back atmosphere that is family friendly. Appetizer of the hot pretzel was delightful. The pretzels never got hard even when they cooled down. Their homemade cheese sauce was delicious. It had a white American cheese type flavor which I appreciate when most cheese dips tend to be cheddar. The deviled eggs with jalapeno and candied bacon are a must have. It's great to share and they have a great balance of sweet and heat. The fact that this restaurant makes their own blue cheese and fresh cut fries makes a quality difference you notice. They also hand bread their chicken fingers. It takes your normal pub type food to a slightly special level you do not find everywhere. The chicken wings were great and crispy but not overcooked and they came with a lot of fresh carrots and celery as did the fingers. One poor aspect of my visit was the Specialty Cocktail menu. My impression is that these are out of date and the correct cocktail recipes are not being used based on the drinks we were made. The one I ordered was awful. It was like drinking fire it was so strong. My husband couldn't even drink it. It was not just the strength but it just tasted like straight booze and nothing else. It was hard to accept the $10 price tag for each cocktail that went to waste. However, lots of friendly staff and food at this restaurant and I would certainly recommend it to friends and family.minus the cocktails.
We've gone for nice dinners or just apps and the service, food quality, selection, pricing and atmosphere is always right on.
