Slave To the Grind reviews
16Fantastic coffee shop! A really nice vibe without being pretentious at all. Best of all - it was nothing like Starbucks lol!
Coffee tastes different depending on who’s working that day and sometimes it’s just really terrible so always hit and a miss. Wouldn’t mind aiming for a hit sometimes if I didn’t have to wait an hour to order! The line is long and slow
Best coffee shop I've been in, will hit up every weekend from now on in. Worth the drive from the city
What can I say about Slave to the Grind? My uncle introduced my brother, sister, and me over 10 years ago and we instantly fell in love! Between the vibe/energy, great service and the amazing coffee - we are addicted! I have never had a bad coffee. I am a big fan of the Iced Coffees - especially Sugar Cookie, Oatmeal Cookie, & Coffee Cake! Honestly, you can't go wrong!
This coffee shop is small and stuffy. The staff is rude and forgetful. The baristas barely sweetens their weak watery coffee. The pastries are good but nothing to call home about. Mediocre and over hyped like most spots in Bronxville…
For years, I swore Slave to the grind was an Irish pub. I think it may have been the green awnings, lol. To my surprise, it's an aromatic, atmosphere rich staple to the bronxville area. With endless coffee, endless customer service, and did I mention endless coffee. This has been a go-to spot for me for the summer. My girlfriend loves their Chai, although their matcha is hit or miss depending on who is making it. Regardless, I can say this spot is good. Im not a huge coffee drinker, but I may break for one of their specialty roasts lining the wall. I feel you should do the same.
Cheers!
They have the best dirty chai latte. Great staff and definitely my go to place whenever I visit Bronxville.
Let me start by saying the aroma when you walk in is heavenly but the best part was just being greeted even though the barista was in the middle of helping someone else. I'm a plain Jane when it comes to coffee, hot/cold and black. Although their chalk board was a little overwhelming I decided to be a rebel this time and go with an iced coffee cake flavored black coffee. I must admit I was blown away at first sip. It was as delicious as dipping coffee cake into a hot coffee. They nailed the flavor and I'll be back to try some other flavors for sure.
Great coffee place in Bronxville. Always crowded with local, college kids, police, FDB, and EMT.
The best coffee in Bronxville.period.you don't have to have your little finger at right angles when you walk in like you do at starbucks
.
Awful tasting coffee. Tastes burnt and like it has been sitting there all day. Run by a bunch of college students so you’ll be walking into very loud, dirty looking coffee shop. Would not recommend.
Mocha is a dark roast, heavy cocoa notes. Vanilla chai is sweet and enjoyable. Friendly baristas
The iced vanilla chai latte is like crack…. Or what i imagine crack is like.i like mine with oat milk and a shot of espresso.
The coffee was ok but not worth the price. I also purchased 2 croissants and they were so old and stale they were inedible; these should never have been available for purchase.
Coffee is nasty, burnt tasting and the staff is rude when you’re not white. This place is trash
Such a good coffee shop. Really good sizes, if you want a large iced latte, you get a LARGE. So authentic and great service. Best in town
