Sleep Inn Long Island City - Manhattan View, Queens NY

Unbelievably HORRIBLE service! I booked the stay on HURB.com (don't make this mistake) a few days ago and called this morning to confirm if I could send myself a package and they asked when I made the reservation, when I said a few days ago they said "no you don't have a reservation with us, we aren't taking new reservations due to remodeling.call the hotel next door and they will get you room" What? No Im sorry no nothing. I told them how much of an inconvenience this was, imagine arriving to NY with luggage and finding this out there.she just replied "yea yea yea.just call them next door and they will honor the same price and they are a sister company. " again no apology.
The hotel next door had no idea what this was about nor were they a sister property or even offer the same price.they just said I needed to call "Choice" but not giving me a contact number or knowing who this is is useless.
I have been calling the Sleep Inn 10 times now, letting the phone ring till the phone disconnects and zero answer.
THIS PLACE IS SCAMMING PEOPLE
I legit hotel would have apologized, asked what website I booked the room on so they could contact them and have them not offer new stays till they are available. They would also, offer my money back immediately, not lie about a "sister property" and say they would honor the same price.
I hope many will see this and not take the risk here at the Sleep Inn.

Very nice Hotel and personal, Train and bus just 1 block away and a old Neighbourhood living style. I liked it!

I changed my review because as i was staying here the hotel staff managed to completely misplace my only pair of pants that was in my room while i was away. Wether i get them or not this is completely unprofessional and definitely was a complete vibe kill. Definitely not a great experience and its my first time in NY on vacation.
UPDATE: Not only were my pants missing but my room safe was wide open upon returning.
UPDATE: offered to reinburse us and did not. Had to have my man go buy me new pants while i sat there looking silly. Didnt help us. Dont go here. They house the homeless im assuming they gave my pants away.

Area isn't the best, the view is nice and your close to the subway. They do NOT have breakfast (they said due to covid) but I've been other places that do. We went down 2 floors to use the vending machine and security told us we don't belong there. I personally wouldn't stay here again

Terrible costumer service. The management at this place doesn’t care about the health of other guest and the staff. They don’t care whether you have covid or not. They will not cancel your reservation and charge you regardless. Be aware that this hotel doesn’t have any concerns about COVID.

This place is absolutely Awful! Definitely not a place to bring your kids to. Our room was dirty and it was not the king suit with city views as promised! Save yourself TIME AND MONEY and book elsewhere!

Its not only a very comfortable price but very nice staff and very nice and clean! I will definitely 100% go back to stay.

You have to pay extra for parking. A little run down, but decent for the price. If you only need it for like a night it's ok.
