Sleep Inn & Suites Buffalo Airport reviews
21 Great king-size hot tub suite with a fridge, microwave, sofa, and walk in shower.
Great hot breakfast with yogurt, toast, home fries, eggs, sausage, juice, and coffee.
The room was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels.
The halls are very outdated and run down with dirty carpets. The rooms are very good though.
Used this rubbish hotel’s parking service for a week:
PRO
- Very close proximity to airport
- Shuttle available
CONS
- car lot seems unsecure/unsafe
- Ridiculously rude staff (John), clearly untrained & disrespectful to guests (I thought he was homeless & mentally challenged at first but just extremely poor behavior offered)
For the few $ savings, park in the secure airport lot across the street.
Great breakfast that starts at 4: 30 for early flyers. Everything was perfect and very close to AP.
Sam at the front desk provided excellent service and helped resolve problems with the rooms. Some of the issues are described below. The 4* for service is because not all staff are as helpful as Sam.
The hotel itself looks worn. The room doors have marks from where something was removed. Corridor carpet looks old and worn. Some rooms had defective bathroom faucets, lights not working. The gym has a cracked wall mirror.
The breakfast is very well run. There is a lady, Sue who really takes care of the area. The breakfast is one of the greatest values of staying at the hotel.
In short, hotel could so with some maintenance / reno. Thanks to staff like Sam and Sue, it can be a nice place to stay.
The rooms are good enough for a 2 night stay, the only reason I say this is the bathroom door was difficult to close and wont close all the way. But they do really make with Service. They accomodate all my requests in those 2 night I were there. Would go back and the prices were resonable.
If you’re looking for a place to get a good night's sleep this is not it. The airport is right in front of here. After a 10-hour drive, I was looking forward to getting some rest and waking up to lounge in the hot tub but that didn’t happen due to the slime all in it. Talk to the front desk and was told “I guess we need to close it down till Monday” They never closed it or cleaned it. Absolutely disgusting if you ask me.
We've stayed here twice this summer. Hotel is nice. Room is spacious. The free breakfast is good. Sausages, scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes, cereal, English muffin, bagels, muffins, coffee, juice. Lots choose from. Small workout room and hot tub open till 10pm. Convenient location, close to airport and shopping and dining.
Great price point for a weekend away
Our shower stall was showing its age and the stains on the carpets were a little concerning as well.
The breakfast staff were wonderful always keeping things stocked
Rooms were clean
Room left a lot to be desired. Room was in need of maintenance/repairs. There was a hole/snag in the carpet, the wallpaper behind the TV was falling off, and probably the most concerning, was that the bathroom door had what appeared to be mold on the bottom on both sides. The jacuzzi tub had issues and the jets would turn off after 2-3 minutes and then sputter a bit and turn on again for another minute or two. After the first night I mentioned the mold and the hot tub to front desk on our way out for the day. Housekeeping cleaned 1 side of the door, completely ignored the other side which also was moldy, and the jacuzzi still did the same thing. At this point, I just gave up. Also, and I know it's by the airport so is to be expected, but the airplanes start taking off before 6am, and you can definitely hear them. Only good thing was the breakfast. This room was definitely not worth what I paid and I'm kinda bummed about it.
The location and proximity to the airport is obviously great, but aside from that I feel like there are better options. We had a double plus sofa bed room. The whole hotel smelled musty, remnants of when smoking was allowed here. The AC unit was squeaky all day and night, and the sofabed was pretty bad which is saying a lot considering my expectations of sofa beds. Overall, if you get a great deal and need a place close to the airport I wouldn't avoid it, but if you are comparing to other places I encourage you to try an alternative.
Pros: Checkin was a breeze, polite and knowledgeable staff, comfortable and clean mattresses and bedding, walk in shower, nice complimentary breakfast, quick and easy access to BUF Airport
Con: Room carpeting needed some TLC, For sure. Was clean, but rippled, and there was an approximately 2'x3' rectangle cut out in the middle of the room, and hap hazardly filled in with a rememnant. Not a deal breaker, by any means, but does need attention.
Overall, a great 1 night stay, and would definitely stay again.
Did what is needed to do. Had an early flight out of buffalo, convenient and easy to get to the airport. No nonsense, no frills, just a simple transit pit stop.
FRONT DESK IS INCOMPETENT AND HANG UP ON ME WHEN I TRIED TO SORT OUT THE INCORRECT SPELLING ON THE RECEIPT! Rude and unprofessional. They have TWO wrong names on our receipt and from check in we pointed it out and they said it’s already in the system or whatever. I BET if the credit card info was incorrect, it would be fixed really quick! We called today and we are getting the run-a-round. It’s a SIMPLE remedy. Go into your system and make the correction. YOU spelled the name wrong and making something so simple, complicated! We want to talk with HEADQUARTERS OR A COMPETENT MANAGER! STAY ELSEWHERE. THIS REVIEW IS CREDIBLE BECAUSE I’M a honest person who did stay there.
Pretty old hotel. Everything looks like it did 40 years ago and it's just been repainted. You should get there pretty early, otherwise you'll get the chain rooms. I had a room next to an elevator and it was super loud. In addition, the rooms have no safes (safes). The breakfast is ok and the service not so. We wanted to change our room because of the noise, but didn't go because everything was occupied. Other people reported that they had a room where the toilet didn't stop flushing until 3 minutes after it was flushed. They wanted to send someone to fix it the next day, but the one that was sent couldn't solve the problem. The location is very close to the airport and not that far from downtown.
Unfriendly staff
Will not recommend it to anyone.
We made a book and they gave us the wrong room.
Staff was not happy that they had to fix it.
There were bugs everywhere, in the bathroom, beds, floors.also theres bed bugs! I was on my way home from the hotel and realized i had a BUNCH of bed hug bites all over me.key card we were given had to keep being replaced because it stopped working if we left for the day and then came back.would not reccomend.
Update: Came back after a year, and I don't know what happened - but this place has taken a turn for the worse. Room was very dirty and I could feel each spring in the mattress impaling my back. Very disappointed - not sure what changed. 5 star to 3.
Very nice for the price! Very clean and big bathrooms. Room didn't smell funky at all and we ended up having a great time here. Going to be our go to for the Bills games!
Staff was awesome. We were upgraded to larger mini suite. Room was very clean but furniture is worn and carpet needs replacing. Breakfast was great!
I’ll start with the only positive about this hotel. The breakfast was very good for the price and the older lady who handles the breakfast was very nice and sweet. That lady deserves a raise since she is the only good thing about this hotel.
Now the negative. The hotel is very outdated. The floors are disgusting. The rooms are old and just falling apart. Walked by a door that looked like it was kicked in. I asked for turn down service that never came.
A brilliant hotel overall, great value has a gym and a hot tub/spa. I was only there for one night but the rooms were big enough for my family and had everything needed for the night. Staff were also great! Would definitely go again.
