sLICe LIC Pizzeria, Long Island City NY

Just walked into the place at 9.they close at 11.they had 2 slices of pizza available and told me nothing else was coming out because of online orders? Like take care of your real in store customers also?

Easily one of my favorite pizza spots.

In general the NY style pizza has a tender crust that is not too crunchy nor doughy, and has a good deal of cheese and sweet, fragrant tomato sauce. They do a good job reheating their slices which is to their benefit because the slices come out HOT and taste so good. The cheese stretches and oozes but isn't overflowing with cheese and the sauce is flavorful In it's own right.

The square pies (grandma and grandpa) were also solid, with an airy thick crust though I had these after reheating at home so the flavor was altered. Can't comment confidently on those but even after waiting a while I enjoyed it! The basil was fragrant even after waiting all that time to eat it at home

My all-time favorite pizza place in all of NYC. From the crust to the pepperoni which are my go to classics but they have a variety to choose from. Pair that with a mixed soda drink of Sierra mist and cranberry and I'm all good. Yum!

If you want plain, just know it’s not always available by the slice at busy times. But the pizza is great, the pasta is great, the salad is great, and that little patio in the back is fine, but take it to the green space across the street or down to the water instead.

Came across this joint by luck and decided to try it, the slice is very good but they could have done a bit more for the sauce. The bottom was cooked nicely to the point you'd think it's rock solid and instead is very soft. Staff is polite. One pepperoni and one regular cheese were $8.75, a bit too much for the product but it's a good one

Was my favorite pizza place. The women there are very rude. When I call a female picks up say please hold never come back to the phone. Been happening for a while now. I don’t know why they so rude. I go in person they throw my change back at me when I’m there. I say my few words n don’t bother to go in. So I call which I never get through. So much disrespect n ignorance now a days with these places. It’s sad.

Gotta love this place. Have been going there since they have opened up. They have a good variety from pizza to pastas and salads. The vibes in there are nice and they also have back door seating if you want to sit in the back.

Guy with a purple shirt behind the counter came up go our tables and aggressively grabbed our box because we did not specify we were staying. Even if that was the case, you do not touch the things we PAID for unless we give you permission.

I placed a large delivery order in person 3 days ahead of my child's birthday party. The pizza didn't arrive on time so I called to see what was going on. I was told they had a lot of large orders and were backed up. Turns out they were so backed up that they couldn't deliver within the timeframe of the party. Again, they had 3 days notice. There's simply no excuse. I will never order from sLICe again and will be sure to tell the party venue and guests to do the same.

It was good pizza, the guy behind the counter was giving me and my friends mad attitude but we got an extra Sicilian slice on the house so it’s all good.:) it gets busy but it also has a backyard area.

Horrible service. When the manager is not there, the men behind the counter are rude and do not do their jobs. I will never go back and the pizza is nothing to write home about anyway. You can get better pizza in Forest Hills. Bye bye!

This is the best pizza in LIC. Always arrives hot. A biggie for me is using fresh mushrooms on the pizza and they do. My husband used to work in a pizza shop and he says they do not use cheap cheese either. Crust is always crispy and sauce is not too sweet or salty. Definitely worth ordering.

Pizza is great. Service is sub-par. Advertised as being open till midnight and almost consistently closed well prior. Many nights they have limited options and clearly putting cost cutting before their customers. The neighborhood would love a more reliable late night pizza hot spot. Too bad…

This place is the best. No question. It gets busy on weekends but staff always so friendly, and very communicative about wait time. I waited 20 mins for my slice but was so happy to. I ordered garlic knots for a starter which came right away and really yummy. The staff also saw I was so thirsty because I did a run earlier. They got me a nice ice cold cup of water without me asking! I will come back for the good vibes but first and foremost the AMAZING pizza!

They had NO PIZZA except a couple plain slices available, 2nd time now this has happened when I come here.they won't make a simple pepperoni slice made to order. They only sell pizza & only whats on the counter made up.

I’ve ate here a couple of times and I was never disappointed! I’m a huge fan of pizza and their slices are pretty good but what I didn’t like was when I ordered their chicken parmesan plate.it was served in Tupperware and not an actual plate. Not sure why but they couldn’t give me a plate… good thing it tasted good lol cause I definitely would have complained! Can’t go wrong with this pizzeria though.great area with good pizza and good customer service!

Came here with a friend for some NY Cheese Slices. The place in general is beautiful with a amazing outdoor seating. It has all the condiments and seasonings you need, but the pizza crust was hard probably because they reheat the slices, it was not a good size or taste for 2.75 a slice. You can give it a try but If your a local to NY you probably had better.

Pretty good slice. I’m not a fan of runny cheese and prefer my slices more well done but all in all, for $3 bucks it’s not bad by any means. The sauce is on the sweeter side which was tasty and the crust is “hard enough to hold, but easy to fold” style. Bready and not crispy. It’s good. Tastes like a classic spot of NY/NJ with fresh handmade pizza pies. The servers and head pizza maker were nice, efficiently quick, and served me with a smile. The store was pretty clean too (I’d be more critical but saw a bunch of kids making a mess during the visit.)
I had down 4 stars leaning positively up + but as I’m writing this and gonna go with 5 stars because the service was great and that does make a difference! They valued me as a customer and the slice was good enough I got more. They Also have outdoor seating in the back! Check them out!

A lot of people don’t think of LIC as a place that has good pizza but Slice proves them wrong. The grandma slice is probably one of the best that I’ve ever had and I’m glad that I decided to come back here and give this place another go. All of their other options look great as well and I’m excited to try out a few more once I come back!

I asked for ranch on the side for my pizza and for which the employee gave a dirty look and said we generally don't do this.he literally give me a drop of ranch and acted as if he had handed over a bottle of ranch.work you way up and stop being cost centric
