Sloatsburg Travel Plaza reviews
17This is a good stop for a bathroom break, but the only other place open is the store. Eateries say "remodeling". Store staff very friendly.
Everything is closed. There's not 1 rest area restaurant open on I-90 due to remodeling and switching over from McDonald's to Chik-fil-a's. You'd think they'd have other food options open! Your only option is a bag of chips at the gas station store.
Clean restrooms but be advised that ALL the food vendors have closed down in anticipation of upcoming remodeling. Slated to start September 05,2013 and run for about 1 year. Traveling and losing a well located rest stop is disappointing, even though it is necessary. Will there be well maintained porta pottys?

Saturday and all the stores (except one) was shuttered. And all of thecseating was cordoned off. Why?
Well, at least the restrooms were available
Everything is closed inside except 1 shop. Paid $29 for 2 small cold premade wraps and a fruit cup, no napkins anywhere. All dispensers empty. Bathrooms are disgusting. This place is obviously going to be renovated or bulldozed soon. They can at least put a sign on 87 stating it’s under renovation and there is no food not to waste peoples time
Dead zone, It gets 2 starts for cleanliness and size. None of the restaurants are open, NONE. A handful of pepperoni and cheese is $8.95. Pack your snacks, folks. I'm not cheap. However, the process are RIDICULOUS. I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Tired? Of all of the rest stops on the Thruway this one is probably the most fancy and the largest.
Everything but the convenience store is closed. When I visited, the beverage coolers weren't working and all the drinks were warm.
Everything was closed. Used the bathrooms and they were so smelly and dirty! Couldn't get any food, so we bought very overpriced iced tea and left.
All eateries closed right now. Market open for drinks, coffee, pre-made food, and snacks. Restrooms clean.
Every food outlet closed. Mice infested. I walked out immediately. I told the clerk in the convenience store she didn't seem to care while they were putting food on display
July 2023, DO NOT STOP.everything is under renovation or just plain closed, but not apparent from the road. Couldn’t even get a cup of coffee
This is another location that had a clean eating area and bathroom. I was actually shocked at how clean all the rest areas were on my trip to New York from Philadelphia.
First of all, if you are in the reviews and your name is Rick white, you are a liar, this is the second service area just before the second set of tolls, and second of all this place was disgusting before they shut it down bugs spotted everywhere unsanitary practices in Burger King, 30 min line for expensive (and old) Dunkin’ Donuts. I hope the renovation is nice because this place was a joke before
This place was fascinating, and it's rare to see a two floor rest area complex. It's a shame that it's going to be razed soon and replaced with a regular old modernized service plaza.
Not much here at all I guess do to the anticipated revamp but it makes it inconvenient when all these stops have barely anything.
Old place but spacious with the basic stores and restrooms, but has a weird smell. Plenty of parking. A bit overpriced as expected.
