Slav, the owner/technician of Smart Step Ahead, came to our house several times to repair our GE Profile Refrigerator. He replaced several parts on several different dates to no avail. We ended up paying him $876 for parts and labor and the refrigerator was never repaired & never worked properly. He charged us for repairs without properly diagnosing the issue, or knowing what needed to be done to fix the problem. The worst part is, he refused to give us a written receipt for the repairs (parts & labor) performed. This is very "shady" business. Before he left on the final visit, he told us: "maybe you need a new refrigerator. " Maybe if he could not fix the refrigerator he should not have taken so much of our money. Almost $900 into this repair & we did, in fact, end up having to purchase a new refrigerator. I think we are due a FULL REFUND from Smart Step Ahead!

First, if I could, I would rate this company as a zero. This whole horrible experience started on 6/30/2023, with the final home visit on 10/18/2023 with many phone calls & text messages to discuss the problem & lack of repair. I did not request any particular repairs; we just wanted our refrigerator to work properly. You told us what needed to be replaced & we trusted you knew what you were doing. You replaced several parts, but the refrigerator never worked properly again. All the problems were still there. You gave us prices by text messages, but certainly never supplied us with "paid" receipts for the repairs. You completed all $876 of repairs, but did not fix our refrigerator at all. You missed diagnosed & failed the repair.just admit it! We are due a TOTAL REFUND!

V is a great guy. He is fair and honest and does impeccable work. He updates you with arrival time and eta and shows up exactly when he says he will. Highly reccomend!

Slav was responsive and efficient in making the necessary repairs to our range hood. He was communicative and came when promised. Appreciated the professional approach to his work.

Slav was great! I called hisense because my ice maker broke and he came in the next day to check it out, ordered the piece, and came the next day to fix it! He was super quick too & on time! Thank you so so much! Would def recommend if you need repairs!

We have used this service for 3 of our appliances in the past year. They are such a great company and really do care about helping their customers. Very personal and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone.

I am very satisfied. The technician arrived on time, called and texted before he arrived. He diagnosed the problem on a Friday, ordered the part and completed the repair before 7: 30am Monday morning. He even looked at a faulty plug on my pressure washer and advised me on how to repair/replace it. I would absolutely recommend this company if you need anything electrical repaired.

Slava, was very quick to respond to our call. He, was able to detect the problem with our stove, order parts and install quickly. He was very professional and hard working. We were very happy with him working for us.

Technician was very rude and disrespectful unable to complete the job became angry and almost broke down my front door, trying to leave my house. Don’t recommend hiring this company!

I knew this company long time. Last time Slava was in my house May 18 to change parts on my fridge. It was so fast and professional. Excellent performance.

Slav was very experienced at changing the gas valve on my water heater. He was very professional and we would highly recommend him.

Slav is great - I have recommended him to others. He comes quickly and on time and is very savvy and able to fix almost anything. He has a lot of knowledge and is very helpful. He installed two kitchen appliances for us recently and did a nice job. Nice to be able to rely on someone these days.

Slav, is very knowledgeable as soon as I told him the issue I was having with my washing machine, he pinpointed the problem. Then he immediately notified Sears Home Warranty and told them the problem. Once he got the green light from Sears he ordered the parts that were needed for the repair. As soon as the parts came in he called me and set up an appointment for the very next day. What's noteworthy is that this was not the easiest repair, but Slav was up for the task. He was very determined to get my washing machine humming again. He even went the extra mile and ran the machine on each cycle just to make sure there wasn't any loud noise coming from the machine. My husband and I are very pleased with the excellent service that Slav provided. We would highly recommend him to our friends and family.
