Sofia Wine Bar reviews
17Small space with heated outdoor seating! Service was good, the pizza was amazing definitely worth coming back for it. I had the margarita pizza super delicious. I also that the pasta… something with purses lol it was ok. Nothing special, also expensive for no reason. Good selection of wines. Definitely try the pizza.
Great place for a casual bite and a good glass of wine, the vibe is a little kitschy and the crowd leaned tourist-y.
As an Italian who lived in NY for their entire life, this is one of the best Italian meals I have ever had. The pasta was fresh and full of flavor. The shared appetizer dish was absolutely delicious, even the salad was tasty. 10/10 I will be back!
The food and wine is absolutely delicious! My fiancé and I had several date nights here and loved it soo much that we had our small intimate wedding dinner here! The owner Thomas was absolutely incredible during the preparation! Owners and staff that helped were extremely accommodating and friendly towards our family!
Definitely coming back for more date nights! Highly recommend this Wine Bar Restaurant!
Becausr I had a painful experience I wrote to owner. Antonia was so nice and offered a makeup to me. I was vety happy w this kind offer. Cared about my experience.
Service was great. In an area where many places act like you should be thankful they let you in, the staff here clearly stops at nothing to make sure you are enjoying yourself.
WONDERFUL! Go today!
A Loverly restaurant in Loverly Turtle Bay!
Everything was great! Friendly neighborhood place. Nice working owner who cares enough to make new customers into friends. Very popular with neighbors. Visit once and you will be a fan.
Quality beverage - Quality Italian food served in a warm atmosphere. A very nice experience.
Short easy walk from the Rockefeller Center area. You will be well taken care of!
Visiting from Boston and definitely planning a return visit next time in town.
Friendly staff, great selection drinks, good vibe. What more can you ask for? I enjoyed my time here and would hit it up again.
What a find! An intimate, upscale restaurant located on 50th Street near 2nd Ave.
Menu prices are reasonable and it’s a great location to bring a date. Very, very romantic atmosphere!
On street parking is located in front of the restaurant.
Place is AMAZING! Fabulous food, a welcoming staff that is super knowledgeable, friendly and speak Italian too!
Federico (Freddy) and Kristen are amazing hosts. Make you feel like family as soon as you step foot inside this place. They offer suggestions on the food and wine that are spot on!
Restaurant is SUPER clean with a cozy feel. They even have a small outdoor garden in the back. Also have a private party room as well.
Try the pizza- to die for. Also the vast wine list is amazing too. This place has it all and does NOT miss a thing.
This place is seriously worth the money and worth the trip.
Impecable quality Italian cuisine, cozy and artistic atmosphere, highly recommend the pizza, cannoli, tiramisu and "little purse" pasta. The sauce is deliciosa!
Good selection of wine!
Great service!
Thank you Freddie and Adrian for making us feel like home!
Definitely will be back soon!
Be prepared to spend a few bucks or thirty per person. We came during a Friday night and was told that if we sat at a dinner table then we'd have to order food.
Ok - no problem. However, after being seated, and ordered drinks, we were told it was a dish per person. Their pizzas are large enough to share for two - so we refused to order two $18 pizzas and we weren't hungry to begin with.
The two glasses of wine are large, ranging from $11-20 each. Very dim and loud inside, everyone's seated. About 10 seats at the bar. Little space between each table.
I love this place. Casual, intimate, great pizzas and appetizers to enjoy with good wine selection. Glad it's open again. Only complaint was the last time I was there, the bar tender was having a very loud conversation with someone at the other side of the restaurant across where we were seated and it was a little distracting.
The service? Impeccable. The food? Outrageous. The drinks? ! To die for. Come. I promise you’ll be so so happy you did. Thank you so much Leo - you’re a true gem in the rough!
Sofia’s is an all around gem of a restaurant! Federico is the best of the best-attentive and engaging, with such a beautiful spirit! The ambiance is perfect. The food is impeccable and they have an extensive list of fabulous wine and bubbles. I had the Burrata Bolognese pizza (very impressed by the organic ingredients throughout their menu), and topped off with a Cannoli that was absolutely divine. Thank you so much for making me feel at home-looking forward to bringing friends and family to this amazing place️
Hands down best handrolls! The only place where my bite of the handrolls are crispy and clean cut. Usually handrolls at restaurants are already soggy making the seaweed hard to bite off.
The staff. "engaging".
The environment. "relaxing".
The food & drink. "delectable".
P. S. Sophia's "crab cakes" are TO DIE FOR!
