Our site had a level cement pad on the bluffs overlooking the lake. Woke up to a beautiful morning with a cup of coffee enjoying a glass-smooth Lake Ontario. Sites are tight together, but I did my homework ahead of time and was aware of the layout, so no biggie. Our neighbors were super cool anyhow. The bluff sites have incredible views, but might be dangerous for small children. No real camp store or things to do for the kids here, but if you’re looking for a neat place to camp with a view, the bluff sites are to die for. Had a great conversation with the owner, Don, who is super nice and a camper himself and seems to ‘get it’. Laid back relaxing place. We’re definitely coming back.

Very quiet peaceful place. Nice clean property. Full hook ups at every spot as well as a picnic bench and fire pit.

My husband and I were so looking forward to our stay at South Shore RV Park, but ultimately, had to make other arrangements. We called and spoke with Gloria (who was absolutely lovely!) and told her we were looking to stay on site 83, a lake front site, from 7/14/22-7/18/22. We told her we had a toy hauler, and with our ramp/deck down, our total length was 32'. She exclaimed that she would have to check with the manager before accepting our deposit on the site to ensure that our TT would fit and the deck being down wouldn't be an hinderance to other campers. When she called back and said the manager gave her the OK to book us, we were thrilled! The only caveat was that if our deck was an obstruction in any way, we'd have to put it up, which we were totally fine with! We couldn't wait to have coffee overlooking Lake Ontario for our four days there. Unfortunately, I had to call her back about a week later to ask her to send me the confirmation email as I had not received it. When she sent it over, I noticed that we had been placed in site 68, a long, pull-thru site that was not lake front. I called her back and politely asked her if that was a mistake, since we had spoken about site 83 so extensively and you know, they wouldn't even take our money for the deposit without verifying with management that it was OK to put us there. Gloria told me it must have been a computer glitch that put us at site 68 due to our length (?). Either way, I asked her if she could put us at site 83 like we had discussed, and she said no, unfortunately all of the lake front sites were booked for those days now. It was such a bummer. On top of all that, when I told her we'd just like to cancel and receive our money back, she said that was fine as our reservation was still two weeks out, but it would be less a cancellation fee of $20. It just felt wrong for them to even take any of our money after they're the ones that put us in site 68, whether mistakenly (which they should've tried to rectify; lake front site 84 was available 7/14 - 7/17.) or on purpose (because they didn't want us to have our deck down and possibly blocking the view for other campers around us). It was just a really big let down, honestly. Gloria was so sweet and did sound apologetic when I talked to her and made the decision to cancel, and I know it's only $20, but it was the principal for me. I won't write off the RV park completely, and would hope to stay there one day, but for now, the sour taste in my mouth remains, so it certainly won't be anytime soon. If you do decide to book, make sure you get your reservation confirmation email the same day you make the reservation!

Beautiful spot, level and well maintained sites with concrete "patios". Small sites to be sure, but all have a beautiful view of Lake Ontario.

Nice views of lake Ontario. I would NOT recommend this campground just because if you want to make sure you have the site you reserved you have to pay another $25. When I reserve a site that is available I should not have to pay another $25.to make sure I have it when I arrive.

I really love the place beautiful views but the new owners have raised the rent more than it's really worth I'm leaving along with quite a few other people for the money they want there's nothing there no laundromats no swimming pools nothing for kids to do the people there at the park are great I wish them the best of luck but I think there are other places with more accommodations that can be found might not be as close but have more things to do

The staff consisted of two people. The nice elderly woman who checked us in and the grumpy groundskeeper who mowed around our set-up at 7: 30 pm. The park is severely overloaded with very little room to park. The “waterfront” sights are situated 100-150 feet above the shoreline on the edge of an eroding soft cliff. There are swarms of biting flies everywhere so relaxing by the fire can be uncomfortable. I noticed the flies hovering by my screen door and would fly inside anytime I used opened it. The wild rabbits were cute. There is nothing for kids to do so if you’re bringing a family be prepared to travel off site for entertainment. The lake has a rotting vegetation odor so we had to keep our windows closed. I would not recommend this park to my friends or family.

Nice and clean, but some camping sites are a bit tight with limited parking for your tow vehicle. My crew cab F150 barely fit in front of my 24 foot trailer. The view of Lake Ontario is spectacular.

Such a quaint, and we'll maintained park. The views speak for themselves, but in addition to the breathtaking views, you are just a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride away from the bustling hamlet of Sodus Point.

Super friendly staff and campers. Quiet, clean and great views of Lake Ontario. Sites are a bit small or it would be a 5 star rating.

A gem in upstate New York! Site was level and has a concrete pad. Water, sewer, electric hookup on two side in case you are driving in. Staff helped us back in as it was pretty tight. We had a deck with a very scenic view. Observed two sunsets and lots of lake activity. Campground is small so not much to do at the campground but PLENTY to do not far away. There is Sodus Point lighthouse, lighthouse museum, swimming, boating, hiking (Beechwood) as well as sitting by the campfire and watching the stars. I would HIGHLY recommend this campground but to those who don't have kids or have older children that like the outdoor activities as again there is not much for smaller children. Stop by, make some memories and enjoy the views.
