Speedy Romeo reviews
17Incredible food quality. This place has consistency with its recipes and food service. The menu has changed a bit. The pizzas are top notch (my fav is the St. Louie), the wings are tasty and the caesar salad is sinful on the palate yet light on the stomach. There use to be a burger on the menu that was one of the best around and now it's fine. If you are a hot bodied person sit in the front near the door or on the left front facing wall. Due to the large pizza ovens, it gets really hot in the center and rear of the restaurant. Thank me later. I highly recommend this place, it's managed well and has a nice ambiance.
This place is amazing! Always hits the spot. BUTTT.what happened to the octopus app? It’s not been on the menu the last few times. Can you bring it back? !
The crust on this pizza is absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The white album was sensational.would add garlic next time. Broccolini pizza needs a bit more balance -more spicy sweet and a crisper broccoli. Found the toppings overly abundant and the white sauce to be a bit heavy -takes away from the crisp crust. Need to Lighten up. Chocolate cake was heavenly but the merengue topping was over the top sweet. Would get again with Gelato or ricotta instead.
LOVED the wedge salad, along with the Kind Brother pie (béchamel, wild mushrooms, smoked mozzarella, farm egg sage). The person who served us was awesome too. Checked in at the perfect times, recommended a more comfortable seating area, and kind disposition regardless of the wild time we’re living in ️
Great pizza. The sauce was nice and tangy. Slightly damp toward the center and light on the basil. Service was friendly. The interboro pilsner I had was very tasty.
It was anything but speedy. Very dissatisfied with the pizza, and what a slow service. Too bad because I was really looking forward to try this pizza place within my block. Will not return.
Delivery took 2+ hours (1.5 hours over what it was estimated) and it was not DoorDash's fault. We live 5 blocks away. The restaurant took no qualm in trying to rectify it instead of saying their system does not estimate the time correctly.
It took 2 hours for 3 pizzas to be delivered a few blocks from the restaurant. Given pricing, delivery is not recommended.
Speedy Romeo is firing on all eight cylinders! Seriously, could not have been more pleased with our dining experience. Started off with the KC Style Wings which were phenomenal. For pizzas, we got the King Salami and Mike's Broccolini sans broccolini and both were very delicious. We finished off our meal with the Chocolate Cake, one of the best desserts I've ever had. So frickin' good. Server was a total sweetheart and took great care of us. All in all, just a fantastic meal!
Consistently tasty. Every. Single. Time. I know you'll probably get hooked on one pie, like the drop dead legendary "kind brother", but exploration is rewarded by stepping outside of your pizza comfort zone. Long live Speedy.
Service took ages to serve 2 pizzas. We waited at least 30 minutes. I mean, it's pizza! Crust was burned. The Truffle Shuffle feels really heavy to eat, too heavy and greasy. Cute place, overpriced pizza.
Not so speedy. Delivery 2 blocks away took over half an hour longer than expected, it took 90mins for 2 pizzas. They also would not pick up their phone. Pizza arrived cold and lifeless. It was OK, but over priced.
I thought the place was good and went with big expectations but I had the worst experience you can imagine. I visited Speedy Romeo on Jul 18,2021 and got terrible food poisoning.
I had pizza and chicken wings. I doubt that there was something wrong with the wings.
It's worth mentioning that the waiter girl was amazing. However, I feel so bad that even now I hate the chief of Speedy Romeo, I don't wish the same experience to him.
This place is dangerous for health!
Speedy has been a go to since I moved to the area and has ruined most other pizza for me. It’s that good.
I recently had a few issues with orders via Doordash, and the staff at Speedy went above and beyond for me despite having nothing to do with what had caused the problem.
Amazing pizza (St. Louie is a mandatory order item) and world class service. 5/5
They should rename it Romeos. Not speedy at all. We waited over an hour outside to takeout two pizzas. After an hour they were kind enough to give us two beers for the wait. Pizza was good but nothing I’d wait an hour for again.
Delicious pizza. Decent wine. Friendly staff. What's not to love? I would definitely call ahead and get on the wait list early or make a reservation on weekends.
I used to "live" in this place and after moving away from NYC, would come to visit on every trip. Now, this place is such a disappointment. No octopus which was there best appetizer, pizza is too salty to eat it and no wood oven which was the staple of this place. Service is so so, some writers didn't know their menu well. Breaks my heart but it's not the Speedy Romeo i used to know.
