SPIN New York Flatiron reviews
15It was a great experience. I was there work my team and remote every moment. The staff was friendly and provided amazing service. Very helpful. Explaining each dish to ensure we didn't eat anything we might be allergic to. Good music and vibes.
SPIN New York Flatiron is the ultimate destination for table tennis enthusiasts and those seeking a unique social experience. This vibrant venue offers a combination of exciting ping pong action, delicious food, and craft cocktails. The energetic atmosphere is contagious, with music and lively tournaments adding to the fun. Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, SPIN provides a welcoming environment for friendly matches and socializing. The attentive staff and sleek design make it an ideal spot for a night out with friends or a memorable date.
A senior partner at our firm took a group of clients to this location last night. They were treated very rude and threatening towards the end of their reservation. The staff aggressively pushed them out. Don’t take professional relationships to this venue! It created a terrible mood among the group. Felt more like a bouncer handling drunk people at a club rather than a nice, quiet evening playing ping pong with clients, having fun. Our group was not drunk or loud. We’re just a group of middle aged business people trying to bond and forge a relationship. It became quite awkward because of the staff.
Very chill bar and vibe. Music was not too loud so could carry on a conversation. Great ping pong tables and paddles!
Corporate types come play ping pong.
Update: Spin wants you to know you can go there on the regular too.
Beer selection is good. I wish they had some more craft stouts but still a good selection. Be prepared to pay for ping pong about $60 per hour per table. We had 4 people so that was 15 per person.
Wow! Mindblowing. We stumbled in here thinking it was a restaurant. We went down a stairwell meant to look like a subway entrance, thinking, 'What's this? ' We got to the bottom and a whole new world opened up. A huge space filled with people, ping pong tables, various bars and games and seating arrangements. Just a very interesting and fun setup.
It felt like a mix between a nightclub, a pool hall, a games centre, and an event space. There were people of all ages and I saw a family there too. It was a Friday night so ping pong tables were booked for a couple more hours so we'll definitely reserve when we return now that we know what to expect.
It's table tennis with two bars in a basement. What else could you ask for. Great staff that make great drinks
An upscale table tennis club/lounge with 20+ tables in the dark basement. Lots of food and drink options, has night clubby vibes with the partitions, seating options and DJ table. Good for seriois players too, lots of high level players come here, also holds tournaments. A tad pricy though both for the hourly table and foid/drink.
Very fun and unique. One of those charming, niche New York City spots. Reminds me of a bowling alley but with ping pong. Lots of fun and the food was great. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to provide great service. Hope to go again sometime.
Held a birthday party here and had a great time. They nicely put the two tables we booked separately next to each other. Also gave us a spot next to a booth and one of the bars.
Loved playing ping pong here! The staff was super friendly and the tables are well taken care of. The other games (uno, connect four, tic tac toe, jenga, etc.) on the tables and couches also served as a good way to spend your time while waiting on your table.
Because of an event here, I went back to playing ping pong and I'm loving it. They're a little pricey, trying to go with a partner. I go with a group on a certain night. The music is fanTAStic. The food I had at the event was really good, since then I haven't ordered any. Sometimes they're lax in picking up balls. The pro on site is fantastic but pricey.
A fun place to hang out and play table tennis. It has the vibe of your best friends basement but with better service and an unlimited supply of ping pong balls.
