St Kilda Coffee reviews
15 Great looking place and atmosphere! Beautiful white La Marzocco coffee machine.
I had espresso and macchiato which were good.
The coffee blends were interesting.
Some of the best coffee in the city, service so good you forget you're in New York, and music so good it's worth stopping in to hear what they're playing.
No bathroom, unfortunately.
Nice little cafe. The coffee is good. Good sign when they give you bean options. Chill vibe. Nice decor. Nice baristas.
Why do they allow METH and FENTANYL dealers work outside of their store? This is not acceptable. We need our small businesses to step up and stop predators from harming those with mental health issues. Boycott every business on this corner until they step up!
Lovely small coffee shop with minimal interior, plenty of plants, and just the right amount of coffee selection. I ordered an iced coffee which was very smooth and delicious, with some bright notes of cherry. They also have pastries. There is enough seating for 8-10 people.
Coffee was good but not great. With so many coffee shops in NYC, I wouldn’t say this was the best one I’ve had.
This is my go to spot for modern espresso. Two espressos are offered and rotate: a delicious, but more standard modern espresso ($4) and an experimental roast ($8). The experimental roast I've had thus far is a real treat, which is a peach macerated coffee, but I only get occasionally due to the price point. The experimental shot will bring joy to any coffee nerd who likes those coffees, or blow one's mind who has never tried experimental processed coffees. Whatever your tastes, the coffee is top notch.
If you're looking for the most unique artisan coffee, this is the place. Drink it as espresso to enjoy the flavors. It cannot be described, only experienced. The ambiance teleports you to a bright lit nature filled quaint town feel and yet is in the middle of our bustling city. Highly recommended. Wish I had more time here yesterday.
I'm from Melbourne, Australia so I know Melbourne coffee and this is NOT it. For some reason, my latte had a taste of Japanese dashi stock! I am not kidding. It was the weirdest coffee I've ever tasted. Do not recommend.
Morgan is great, super personable. I can tell they love coffee and that makes me happier to be here. Thank you Morgan for such a wonderful experience
Phenomenal service by Morgan! Got a coffee flight and a pour-over and they were nothing but accommodating! Keep staff like this and I will always come back!
I stopped by for a quick cold coffee drink and had no idea I'd be blown away with the flavors. Excellent. I had a small iced latte with oat milk on the sweet side. Will be back to try the other offering. The environment is quaint and homey.
The place is small, so it's more of a grab and go. But the coffee is superb. One of my favorite places is La Cabra and this place came close second in terms of coffee quality. Pastries are ok, nothing special. The everything croissant is good.
The shop carries excellent coffee beans you’d find at SEY coffee from NYC or Dayglow from California. Their service however was consistently trash on my two visits in May and June of 2022. Both baristas couldn’t bother to help with bean selection if you dared to ask for recs, and both of them didn’t make art for milk + espresso drinks. That’s how they made sure you know they actually don’t care about coffee at all.
Honestly. St Kilda kinda saves the Manhattan coffee scene rn.
After 2 weeks of trying every shop we could reasonably get to - amazingly St Kilda had the best Espresso shot and Filtered Coffee in all of Brooklyn or Manhattan.
Idk if the heat and humidity have messed with shops dialing in their espresso - but this was miles better than any other stop.
They are also one of the few shops in the area with flights of coffee.
Atmosphere:
Small, fun shop, 5-6 comfortable tables for 2 people each.
Barista's we're humble, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly!

St Kilda saves the oversaturated coffee scene in NYC. There's a lot of other shops that prioritize ambiance and high-prices over the coffee itself.
