I have been waiting years for a Starbucks in Rome. It’s a quiet and great atmosphere especially in the mornings. The customers and staff are very friendly. Professional and clean environment. The Baristas always greet you when you come in and very warm and inviting. I enjoy the food and drinks.

I love Starbucks drinks, I’m there daily. But I’d rather drive the 20 minutes to New hartford, my basic orders are pinks drinks and iced white chocolate mocha lattes, they can never put the right syrups in the lattes, they rarely taste right, I ordered one today 11/12/23 and it tastes so gross! They really need people who know what they’re doing and pay attention to orders, there are time I go there for an order I placed 10 minutes in advance and still have to wait several minutes bc there are people who will stand next to the drivethru begging the other person to switch with them, it’s unacceptable!

Every single time I have been to this location in the morning between 6 and 7 AM. They did not have the ingredients to make the drink and I wanted. I have been to this location three times within the past two weeks in each and every time they are out of a different ingredient. And I can’t even say the customer service is good. I went there today and when I asked to speak to a manager, she tells me that it is not the barista‘s fault that they ran out of ingredients. They switched over at New, Management and There in New store and that day it’s not their fault they don’t have the ingredients and that they’re not ordered very rude to the point where I will never go back there and if I can give this review with zero stars, I would they need to close down this establishment because it serves no purpose here in Rome when they have such bad customer service, and such bad work ethics to the point where they don’t want to order the stuff that they need

Some days I come into this Starbucks and everything is running smoothly, but other days the service is so off! I've especially noticed this with some short girl barista who always has a scowl on her face. Her customer service is not good and she seems like a pain to work with. Figure out your staffing and give me my COLD FOAM!

Corporate Starbucks needs to give this store what they need to hire a full staff. Been open for a few months now and they literally can't staff the drive thru and lobby at the same time. That must be stressful for employees and sucks for people like who want a quick cup of drip coffee and don't want to wait in the drive through line.

Number four. The people complaining about them running out of things often. Yeah. That happens. Going back to the fact that they're in high demand, when you have a ton of people buying things all day every day, you're going to run out of things. I don't know how you think you can blame the employee. They aren't back there just dumping things out because they don't feel like making it. Often times it's not even on them. Deliveries don't come, it could be a warehouse issue, there could've been a recall on something, etc. If you can't get your precious whipped cream on your pumpkin spice latte, you don't need to ruin the employee's day because of it.

Treat. People. With. Kindness. They say everybody is fighting a battle you know nothing about, and that's true. These people are trying their absolute best every single day and deserve all the recognition in the world. Believe me, they get just as frustrated as you all do when something goes wrong, but they're doing their best. I don't mean any of what I said to be disrespectful and I tried to be as nice as I could about things because there are certain times that I just want to scream on their behalf. It was definitely difficult for me not to be sarcastic here. But regardless, I could not be happier with thdis store And I am so grateful for everybody that works there.

This Starbucks is very slow even with not a lot of traffic! They are always running out of everything and never have anything in stock. The work also seem like they don’t know what they are doing half the time.

Best coffee chain in rome so far has been very consistent for me everyone has been very professional providing quality customer service.skip dunkin and just come here your paying a bit extra but the quality is better and the coffee doesnt taste like its drowning in liquid sugar or whip cream like dunkin does in rome

TL, DR: Inconsistent coffee and lengthy waits for online orders despite few people ahead of me. Food is good. Can't get cold drinks correct either.

**UPDATED REVIEW**
Ok, so since posting my original review, I've been back twice. The first time I ordered green tea, and the order came perfectly with no wait. However I went back again this morning, and ordered green tea again. You can see by the photo that is CLEARLY NOT green tea. Lol.this summarizes exactly what all the reviews say. I honestly didn't notice until I had pulled out of the drive thru and got a few miles down the road. I didn't want to return to the store, nor did I really have time. I guess they can't do cold drinks consistently correct either.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I'm one of those that really wouldn't pay 5 bucks for a cup of coffee, but I received gift cards as gifts from coworkers.and I leave this review not to bash (that much, lol), but in hopes there's a few pieces of constructive criticism that may be helpful.

Also, I know it's a new setup, and maybe it's still in the learning phase, but I've been there 4 times and I'd like to share my experiences.

I have been inside once just to look, but rather I order using the app and drive thru to pick it up. Looks nice inside.

First time: Online order.breakfast item and coffee. Coffee was hot, but despite being 1 of 3 people in the drive thru, it took 14 minutes to pick up my order. I thought, ok.they are getting used to procedures, it's fine. Bagel was ok.nothing special.but hey, it's a bagel.

Second time: Online order.same order as previous visit. Waited close to 10 minutes having only 1 car in front of me. Got up to the window and they handed me an iced coffee.not what I ordered. Took another 4 minutes to make my new coffee. Close to 15 minutes total to get a cup of coffee and a pastry. Despite being the same exact coffee order, the sweetness level was vastly different than the previous visit.doesn't seem like there is much consistency in that regard.

Third time: Same online order.got to the store and they were having "technical issues" according to the server at the window. They explained that I could wait and they would have my order in 10-15 minutes. I asked to cancel my order, and was told I would have to do that through the app. Issue is, there is no way to cancel an order thru the app. I had to call customer service later and explain the situation. It was a horrific hassle, but in the end, they canceled the order and even added a few extra bucks back to my account for my trouble. Customer service was good in that regard. I didn't ask for it, they offered.

Fourth time: Cup of coffee and egg bites.i placed the order using the app, and immediately headed to the store. I live right around the corner (literally). Egg bites were delicious.piping hot and quite tasty! However the coffee was barely warm! Since the egg bites were hot, I have no idea how the coffee could be as lukewarm as it was. It was undrinkable. It must have been prepared that way as the time between placing the order and picking it up was no more than 5 or 6 minutes. Bites, hot, coffee, not. If I was headed to the office I would have warmed it in the microwave, but I wasn't, so in the garbage it went.

So I still have over 100 bucks in gift cards to use, and I'm hoping this is just a new establishment getting used to the procedures and consistency. Again, for a 5 dollar cup of coffee, it should be close to perfect every time.or at a minimum, HOT! Right across the street is their competitor, a place I frequent often, and their coffee is consistent and half the price.

I'll continue to visit Starbucks, at least until the gift cards run out, and I'm really hoping things improve. Believe it or not, I'm pulling for them.

I had an amazing experience there I have never been to Starbucks so I figured why not try the one in town 20/20 would recommend now I just gotta figure out if they're hiring

I like the food my drinks are rarely correct or the size I ordered though. Nothing is ever available unless youre first in line that day, Also as a matter of general frustration why is there no phone number? Why don't special items come out on time if at all?

It has been opened for about 2 months now and the service is still very very slow. There is only one kind of bagels and they’re always out. It’s pretty annoying and frustrating to drive there, wait just to hear that they don’t have any bagels, again. If it’s that popular, make more! If you see that the supply is getting low one day… make more before you run out! Pretty simple, no? !

The slowest, most inconsistent service i’ve ever experienced! I ordered & paid yet walked out empty handed because that’s how terrible the service was.my mobile order was already 20 min past due for a simple coffee.the staff doesn’t seem trained/prepared.

The service here is not the greatest. Given there are always long lines, I realize you’re busy, but in the five times I’ve been there, they’ve gotten my order wrong five times. Yes every single time. They’re always out of ingredients, they never have stuff to make drinks you want. And they have no vegan options for food either. I’m not vegan, but I have a lot of food allergies in my family. Disappointment. It’s also very annoying that they prompt for a tip every single time. I tip occasionally, But when you never get your order right and you’re paying seven dollars for a drink, I think asking for a tip every single time is a bit excessive.
