Statewide Auto Repair, Uniondale NY

This is a fraudulent body shop. Beware and do not trust the individuals who work here. My car has been on their lot since 11/3 & still no word on when it’s suppose to be repaired. They’ve lied numerous times about sickness, parts, death in the family and it’s over 90 days without a car. Meanwhile they demanded the check up front ($18k) to be exact, cashed the check on 12/23/20 and I haven’t received a proper update. I stopped by the shop to see for myself to only find that they’ve been lying about replacing parts, production and timeline. They’ve changed parts not authorized by insurance. Photos are from today 2/22. They will bait you by showing you work done at other shops and claim they did it. You can search the web and will see no proof of their work because they outsource it. STAY AWAY!

Poor customer service, Nobody knows what’s going on around the shop, the receptionist is always sick or out it’s honestly a scam

If this company comes to tow you, avoid letting them take your car to their shop at all costs. I got hit with a $700 bill just for the tow and keeping my car at their shop over the weekend. Every other time I've used AAA, it's been free. Somehow these guys created enough BS fees to charge me $700 on top of what they get paid by AAA.

Things like $175 yard fee on top of a $50/day storage fee. $150 accident clean up fee even though we drove our cars to a parking lot as directed by the police. Nothing to clean! $75 release fee to bring my car somewhere else. $175 hook up fee!? !? Yes, that's right, they charged $175 to hook up my car to their tow truck even though it was dispatched by AAA. A $75 administrative fee, etc etc

After multiple arguments while I was waiting to get my car towed away from this rip off shop, I was able to get my final bill down to $300. I am now working with AAA who will hopefully reimburse me or get the rest of the money back from Statewide.

I ended up in this position because the driver of the tow truck convinced me he would not be able to get to my preferred body shop before they closed. It was 5: 20 and he said he could not make it even though it was a 40min drive and the place closed at 7: 00. The bodyshop could not accept cars after they close so I felt like I was stuck.

I found out after the fact that they could not charge any of these fees if my car didn't go their shop. They basically took my car hostage and created as big of a bill as possible. DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR CAR TO THEIR SHOP.

It worked out in the end. I took my car to the bodyshop my dealer recommended. They wanted $3700 instead of the $4600 Statewide quoted me. Also, 1 week to do the work instead of 2 weeks.

Seriously, avoid at all costs.

Good quality service, flexible hours, professional service. Great towing service as well. Good professional personalities to work with. Very courteous and kind. I would recommend this establishment.

This place was awesome! And I recommend to anyone! Great prices and there was no wait! The mechanics were fast and friendly. Any problems with my car I will always come here.

They do not treat you professionally. I only needed a simple inspection but they made me wait more than 30 mins before telling me the server is down and I should come back next morning then next morning I went there twice, they told me they didn’t have anybody who would can do inspection. Basically I had to go somewhere else.

I needed insurance pictures taken last minute and Raj came through, on a Sunday no less- he was quick, courteous, and professional and the email was sent to myself and my insurance company within 10 minutes of leaving his shop. Thanks Raj!

AAA sent over a man today who I hope knows how much I appreciated his help. After an already bad day the last thing I wanted was to need roadside assistant. He told me his name is DC. He was such a positive aura which I truly needed. I’m not sure if he is from this site as I only remember the company name. Just wanted to say.thank you!

Raj came to help me out when my battery died. He was quick and courteous and taught me a little bit about the batteries too! Thank you!

I have to give this place 5 stars because they got me out of a very difficult situation in the most timely and effective manner possible.

I was traveling with my kid to visit colleges on Long Island. We came out to our car in the morning to drive the short distance to Hofstra University when we discovered we had a flat tire. The AAA dispatch was from Statewide, and he was a consummate professional, and also well informed about the local colleges!

He got us to the repair shop where they were able to patch the tire, but it was in bad shape and they did not recommend trying to drive back to Albany, NY with it that night. We had already had to reschedule the Hofstra appointment and also had one at Adelphi, so we drove on the patched tire to go for the appointments and returned there later to get two replacement tires that were waiting for us.

It was a most stressful experience but the people here did everything to make it less so. We were back on the road shortly after 6PM. I give this 5-star rating even though the waiting room was terrible. They had also just painted it so we had to deal with that smell, but it does look like they are trying to improve it. There was also an uninstalled TV there that I expect they will be putting up soon. For now though, if you can go somewhere else while you car is being serviced, do. But definitely feel good about having your car serviced here.

Worst towing service imaginable! They picked up my car and literally did not drop it off until 10 HOURS LATER! Then had the audacity to refuse to lower it off the truck until I paid them some grossly exaggerated fee for “tolls. ” Sheer madness with this company. Stay away!

Went in today to get my car's picture taken for my insurance company the employees there was nice and help me out in less than 10 minutes i was done.awesome service

Raj was a huge help to me when I had car trouble. He was prompt. He was courteous. He was knowledgeable and very helpful. I absolutely recommend his auto service.
