STEP BONE CUT Brooklyn (hair salon)

I'm a regular here and the stylist always gives a tip top cut and provides great conversation. Can't recommend them enough.

Koutarou is the best. He is an amazing hair stylist. He has never disappointed me. I highly recommend this place!

I had my hair cut by Hannah. Now I'm so excited to tell everyone about this salon! I am so impressed! I've never had any salon take so much care into creating layers (I have a lot of hair). Space was really cool and Hannah was really fun and friendly. Can't wait to come back to NYC to get my hair cut here. Thank you!

I was so nervous coming to a new salon, like most people. I had Kotaro as my stylist and he cut over 7 inches off of my hair and gave me this really beautiful bob! He payed a lot of attention to my head shape and explain where he was adding volume and were he was taking out the weight. The haircut was flawless and the salon is so adorable! Overall my experience was positive and memorable, I will definitely be back!

I received a perm and a haircut the other day from this salon and it changed my life! The perm was so soft and cute and really was the perfect touch to my new haircut! Kotaro did an amazing job and i am already excited for my next visit!

I have been coming to Step Bone Cut since its inception in July 2016, and it’s been such a pleasure seeing the salon grow and develop! I always look forward to coming to visit my friends here. Sayuri-san, Koutaro, and Hannah always take great care and are really fantastic hosts.

SBC has a really special art-centric focus and is so connected to the arts community and the Brooklyn community as well. I think that’s something that makes the salon really special and unique in the area right now.

I’ve been to SBC studio for a few different events they e held. They are new to the area so I was excited to see what they had to offer.
The space was beautiful and super open. Everybody was so friendly and sociable.
They also have their salon attached across the hall which is really simple and beautiful.
Overall I’ve enjoyed my experiences greatly at this studio!

I had an event I was going to and was just looking for a relaxing shampoo and good style. Let me tell you, I got much more than that! The shampoo station they have at STEP BONE CUT BAR is incredible! Your neck is 100% supported as well as your head, so there is no pressure or tension on your back or neck which allows you to fully relax.
They gave me a long head massage which put me to sleep during my shampoo.

I love that they explained their products to me and how they would be benefiting my hair and skin.

The style turned out so adorable and I felt refreshed and re-centered at the end of it all. I even bought some of their Raw Mineral Mist home with me and have been using it every day sense!

Thank you for the wonderful experience! I recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for some good ol’ fashioned me time!

This studio is great for anything you need. Photography, music, art gallery, you name it! I would highly recommend to any artists in the area!

Step bone cut is a really unique technique and it made my hair feel so much lighter and made it much more manageable!

I came to this salon about a week ago and had my hair done by Hannah. She was young, energetic and creative. She gave me so many ideas for my haircut, because I came in not knowing what I wanted. I left with a spunky little bob with some baby bangs and couldn’t be more happy! She made me feel so confident and beautiful.

I had Hannah cut my hair a few weeks ago, and it still is looking great! The salon is new to the area and they also have a rental space available for artists and photographers.
The space is filled with creative energy and they stylists are really creative as well. Head on over and support this new space!

Got my haircut at this salon about 3 weeks ago. My cut still looks awesome and normally I have to get my hair cut every two weeks. I love the way Hannah cut my hair and I recommend her to anyone looking for a good change.

If you need a salon to go to in the Bushwick area, I highly recommend this salon!
They also have cool little gallery opening and parties in their studio across the hall, which is how I found the salon. It’s a really open and creative space where I wasn’t afraid to express myself.
I left with an awesome haircut and a new attitude.

Step Bone Cut Bar is a cool little salon in Bushwick. I really like to keep my hair pretty simple, but the technique they used was really interesting and made my haircut really fit my face shape.
