Sterling Optical - Lynbrook

I wanted a pair of prescription sunglasses, and I was in the area on a Sunday. Sterling Optical was opened so I popped in. The initial exchange with the staff was pleasant and pain-free. I had just recently had an eye exam, so I didn't want to sit through another one. I gave the girl my pair of prescription glasses, picked out a pair I liked, mentioned the specific, paid and voila! I was done. I thought to myself: Wow! That was not bad. Until a week later, after getting a confirmation that my glasses was ready. I work on regular weekdays from 12 noon, so I was not able to go in before work. I stopped by 13 days after I initially placed the order to pick up my glasses. The lady said she didn't know how to adjust the frame, and I'm thinking then how is she working in an optical store where adjustments would probably needed for customers. She pointed at the Israeli flag they had on displayed, and said "Well, that's why. " To which she lost me completely, and I asked for the reason. She said "Well, they're Jewish, they don't work on Saturdays. " Ok, but still didn't get the point of her pointing at the flag. 3 or 4 days later, I went back at around 1130 am to see that the same lady is there and still no one to adjust my glasses. This time she said she can't help that the "younger generation" doesn't come to work at 11 am when they're supposed to. Apparently this "younger generation" she's referring to are the ones capable of adjusting the glasses. So, I made the 3rd trip back on a Sunday, made sure I called first and that the "younger generation" are there before I went in. Picked up my glasses, no apologies given for the extra 2 totally unnecessary trips, and left with a completely bizarre experience and bitter taste. Will never go back there, too many optical stores in the area to be treated like that.

Today, I went into Sterling Optical in Lynrbrook. I was fortunate enough to meet two nice gentlemen, Kyle and David. I went into this location because I was in the area, and one of the legs on my glasses was loose. Even though I was never a customer of theirs, they tightened up my glasses leg for me. And complemented my specs, too. Thank you, Reflection Kyle & Reflection David. I call people "Reflection" because if we are all made in God's image, then of course we are Reflections. Happy Holidays.

The service was amazing! Dave was great and so were the other workers. 10/10 would recommend and definitely go there again!

I was mistreated in the store, the person acted like i am stupid and she was better then me.then i heard them being even rude to a customer and when that customer left they made a racist comment behind then in Hebrew.

A huge shout out to this establishment! Wonderful customer service. Needed someone to remove a Lens from glasses and put in a non prescription one. Arsen was able to do it without me having to wait or return to pick it up.

First time ever in this store. They are so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about everything. I went to get a pair of glasses repaired. Kyle was done in five minutes

I was in the other day to have a new nose pad put on my husband's glasses. Not only did they put on the new pad they also replaced the other pad. All of this free of charge despite my insisting to pay. Once again Kyle was there to take care of this and did so with a smile. Thanks Kyle@

The team at Sterling Optical is great. Arsen has been immensely helpful and accommodating. I had two pairs of glasses (same frame) that broke and I was devastated. He “Frankensteined” them and used the parts to make a functional pair! I was thrilled. I’m definitely going to go back to them next time I need new glasses!

I broke my glasses this morning. I went to Sterling Optical without an appointment. They were very helpful and accommodating. The Doctor explained everything as we went thru the exam. Jeanne helped me select frames that were comfortably and would accommodate my prescription. It was a very good experience. I will definitely use their services again.

Love going here. Called for an appointment got in for that day. The staff was so sweet and so was the Dr. Julie was so helpful picking out glasses. She made something I hate doing easy. Will definitely recommend this place to friends.

So helpful! I came here for my daughter Yadhira and the customer service was amazing from all the staff. Jeanne was so kind and attentive, and gave us many solutions quickly which we really appreciate. Will definitely come back here again.

I was able to get an emergency appointment here on a Sunday to see the eye doctor for a stuck contact behind the eye. Would highly recommend! The staff and Dr Margolin is always courteous and works hard for their customers
