Steuben County DMV Office, Hornell NY

Once I got in rhe door it was great. Supposed to open at 8: 30, was still waitibg for doors to open at 8: 42.

I'm a 100 % Disabled veteran and 20 years in USAF. I was born here and dedicated my life and my back fused from neck to my butt. Have license plate for ny Because I had accident and bought new car with NY license plate but I can't change my license. I own camper for 6 months and stay with friends place in winter. Pay electric at campground. If I was illegal I could get a license NY doesn't care about Disabled veteran. Now I have to go to Florida and get Florida plate. You people make me so upset. I'm 73 years old born in Hornell graduated Canaseraga in 68 and served 20 years. Get treated like the plaque.

The day I went at 11: 45am there was a few people in there they had 1 worker doing everything. But I was in and out in 10 mins I had to get an id.

However I'd give them more stars but they NEVER EVER answer the phone.

I absolutely love the Hornell DMV! The staff their is super kind and courteous! So helpful, and they take their time and help you find the answers you need!

No issues that I didn't create for myself. I tried to review everything online before going and I still messed it up. I believe her name was Lisa, but very helpful in fixing my mistakes to get what I needed. Much appreciated!

Make an appointment but get no email about it. Call, if you get through cant tell you when it is then tell me drop box is fastest but three days behind. Dropped last Wednesday call today and they are still working on last monday same answer I got last friday. Dont say it's the fastest way or tell me its 3 days behind just to leve me sitting here with no registration still. I asked how much trouble I would get in to drive it with no registration their answer was i should call the cops. Haha maybe they should since I am waiting on them

Only complaint is that the tellers don't have signs for when they go on break. I stood waiting at the window for 5 minutes, and she had to come off her break to help me, simply because I was unaware she was on break. Had I known, I would have gone to the other teller. Note: I'm not complaining that she went on break, she deserves that. I'm irritated that she is not provided with a sign that says "closed while on break" to put in her window.

Honestly I had to wait for an appointment due to Covid, but staff was courteous and helpful!

Long line outside not moving fast at all.need more help.for the simple things so people can get in and out faster

There was only one lady working at the time but she was pleasant and very helpful in helping me get my car registered.

I was there for over 20 minutes waiting.only one window open
6 + people in line before other lady
(Kimberly) opened other window.

I had some business to do here today and we'll your website says closed the 22 & 23 your door on the building says the 23 &24.can you please get your act together.total waste of my time and gas today!
