This was a shocking experience. First of all the office is dilapidated, full of chipped furniture, cracked pleather exam tables, urine on the bathroom floor and toilet paper on the floor like a gas station. The exam room a/c was not working and it was stifling. But that’s not what was the most poor part of this experience: I came after an accident and emergency room diagnosis of a separated shoulder. Dr. Lee walked into the room, brushed his hand against my shoulder, and that constituted the entire examination. He didn’t ask me to raise my hand he didn’t palpate the shoulder, he didn’t examine me. One would think he would need to examine me because there were no X-rays because … they could not find the x-ray technician. “He’s MIA” Dr. Lee said. Then Dr. Lee left! Literally left for the day. I was stunned, I had paid my co-pay and my insurance was paying for this non-examination and non-x-ray, and I had to march out of the incredibly stuffy room all around the office to find support staff who again told me the x-ray guy was missing. “Doesn’t he have a cell phone? ” I asked. I demanded the office manager find him. Only THEN did they call their missing colleague (over an hour) and found him to administer the X-ray. It was 2pm and the doctor had gone home. I insisted that they send Dr. Lee my x-ray, and that he call me over the phone while I wait with his findings. He did. Then they sold me the only sling they had — Small, I’m 5’8, it doesn’t fit — for $83, and sent me off. Only when I left did I realize the staff had not given me my MRI scrip, the only thing the doctor had actually done. This office is a total mess. I was in incredible pain and came for help. This substandard facility, staff, organization, and doctor did not provide the bare minimum of what is required for a patient.

Was referred to Dr Lee for issues with my elbow and wrist by one of his partners who I was seeing for my shoulder. Dr Lee is very knowledgeable and takes all the measures necessary to treat his patients. Unfortunately physical therapy did not work for me and he performed surgery on my elbow and wrist. I'm 1 month post op and have a long rehab ahead of me. I know from dealing with Dr Lee for almost a year now that he will make sure that whatever I have to do to get better will get done. I have nothing negative to say about Dr Lee or any of the doctors at NY Orthopedics and I highly recommend them for all of your orthopedic needs.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lee for several years he has done two he has done two badly torn rotator cuff surgeries shoulder on me.bicep repair tricep repair left knee surgery. He is a fantastic doctor I think he is one of the best in the eastern seaboard. He got me all set ready to go on a Safari hunt in Africa and I was ready to go in less than six months he put me back in the hunt thank you so much Dr. Lee. Office us and your staff is impeccable and I have to add the rest of your surgical team and doctors are fantastic!

Dr. Steven Lee is truly a great person to begin with. He is compassionate, professional, intelligent and talented in the way he approaches life which definitely includes his medical profession. I have been a long-time patient, friend and colleague of his. I can express my gratitude for having him as my doctor.

I had never seen Dr Lee before and I didn’t have an appointment with him but my case was serious so he saw me before any of his other appointments. I feel tremendous relief today. Yesterday I was in agony. Highly recommend!
