I received assistance here in inserting my old lens into temporary frames without any charge (although I insisted). The help was greatly appreciated, and I would definitely recommend anyone needing new glasses to come here. Such a community-centered place!

I can’t say enough GREAT THINGS about Stonybrook vision world, from the time we entered the store right until the time we left. The owner and his amazing rep. Ready and willing to assist! I needed a pair of glasses I only have one. I sat on my glasses and bent them outta wack. The owner, the nicest and now most memorable eye doctor I’ve ever met and mind you I’ve been in glasses and contacts for over 40+ years so yeah I’ve been around the block to know someone is this SPECIAL. He fixed my glasses in seconds no questions asked. They may not have been perfect but I totally didn’t care! I knew I wasn’t leaving without buying a pair or two in my case. Lol. The very first thing I noticed as walked into the shop and headed straight for this man the owner, was the bling of course the choices of beautiful glasses. After having my glasses fixed his rep.then stepped in, willing and able to assist. She is wonderful, she spent every minute with us while on the phone with our policy that covers optical. She made my visit so nice and handled me with a caring, loving and best of all down to earth manner. This rep. Must had me try on just about every pair of glasses that preferences and then some. The very last pair I tried on was the very first pair that caught my eye. We were all in denial about them because it was just out of the box as to what I was trying on. She did her job so well I ended up with two pairs of glasses. My hubby did pick out the very first pair I liked and set aside, I had so much fun with the rep. I didn’t even feel how much time passed by, must have been well over an hour and when a rep. And owner are this good made my visit one to remember. I am a family of five and we all wear glasses my boys are designer glasses and haven’t changed their frames for I can’t even tell you how many years you won’t believe me. I will be recommending this as our go to from now on. Thank you Stony Brook Vision World for all you’ve done to make my Christmas wishes I didn’t know I had come true! Really disappointed, not to mention aggravated. First, let me point out Dr. D is really nice and helpful, but the staff is either overwhelmed or their antiquated system is causing havoc, with all the new technology, I don’t understand how they have everything written down by hand * Red flag. I’ve called for an updated prescription 3 times in the last 6 weeks to be emailed, first, they claimed they emailed it however I never got it. Then faxed, still wrong. I requested again to be emailed and long and behold it’s still the same incorrect prescription with different date! I think it’s time to update your system to computerized patient files. Despite liking the doctor, I will not be going back again!

Stony Brook Vision World is excellent. I had a very positive experience. The staff is efficient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

Very bad experience. Will never use this place again. They are rude and service is horrible. 3 times I had to return my glasses and the problem was never fixed. Lens is defective, I can’t see well with it and they won’t acknowledge it.

I will not be going to this place again. To start, the prescription they assigned me is inaccurate. My lenses are worse now than my previous ones (which I got somewhere else). I would have notified them of this, but every time I made a vague complaint they acted so put out about it. So I just didn't bother. I also got contacts from these people, which was also a hassle. The eye doctor very clearly didn't like how picky I was about them or my concerns. She was a bit unprofessional. At one visit, after my exam, she decided her shift was over and left, even though I was still there. I may have had more issues or questions for her, but she left before I was finished. It's unprofessional. She was also bad with communication and never made it clear to me that I was supposed to bring both my glasses and contacts to each visit, so I wound up having to go home to get whichever I didn't bring. She kept forgetting which contacts I decided on, which was concerning. I wonder if in the end I even got the right ones. They're not very good. The clerks behind the counter were very polite and attentive. All my complaints go toward the eye doctor, who plays the most important role. Needless to say, I will be finding a new vision center to go to.

I just had an amazing experience at Stony Brook Vision World! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the optometrists were incredible. They used the latest technology and techniques to provide me with a comprehensive eye exam and vision care services. The selection of eyewear was impressive, and the staff helped me pick out the perfect pair of glasses. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Andy, who was so professional and kind. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I was completely satisfied with my experience. I could tell that he genuinely cares about his patients and the community. I highly recommend Stony Brook Vision World to anyone looking for exceptional eye care services.

The only place I’ll ever go for eye exams, glasses, or even sunglasses! Nancy Bonnie and Julie are not only hilarious but GOOD at what they do! They helped me out so much from the minute I walked in and I walked out with an exam a new pair of glasses (they did it in 20 minutes for me because I lost mine and they made sure I didn’t have to drive without any) with a Groupon and told me what to do for another pair though my insurance. I felt like I was at a family members house and I’ve never enjoyed any eye doctor appointment before now! Do yourself and go to Stony Brook Vision World for your next exam or glasses and leave in the best mood! Thank you to all of the staff!
