Stop & Shop, Mt Vernon NY

Place was crazy busy. Everyone shopping for the Thanksgiving meal. I picked up the few things I needed.

I often cant find the items I'm looking for; i.e. Blueberry buttermilk PANCAKES and Bob Evans Glazed Apples as an example of today's trip.
This is a recurrent experience at the regional stores, 2 in Coop City and Mt. Vernon. The inventories are inconsistent, an item purchased today won't be available for the next month or more; in the case of the glazed apples, it's been over a year.
Customer loyalty depends on reliably being able to get what is wanted when it is wanted, otherwise, why bother to shop here or there?

Its been a while i been here lots of changes in a good way I guess picked up few items (12) in and out no waiting fast service.

I love this location, the laid out it’s great. Always clean, and the selection of ethnic foods.

My go to supermarket. Friendly staff and management. Love the masked robot. Management is great. Place is clean

This branch really needs to have better management and more cashiers at the register, I think it's pretty insane to have like 8-9 registers with only 2 cashiers and a long line of customers.and those lights in the parking lot omg it looks beyond ridiculous in the night time! Whose idea was it to put those light bulbs? Please improve this branch of stop & shop.it's so convenient for me to go there instead of me driving all the way to New Rochelle's branch.

I wanted to give this store a higher rating but i cant. While i like the fact that its not far from my home and it is a relatively clean store with some helpful employees if you find yourself in need of looking for an item for example it doesnt make up for its poor cashier/checkout.i get it; covid. But how do u justify forcing two ridiculously long lines that block isles for only two open registers? Youve got almost 20 register lanes and everytime i go in all but two are empty.wheres your staff? Totally unprofessional
Management kindly do your job and correct this mistake and get more cashiers to work those registers.

I was really sorry to see pathmark go but stop and shop stepped up to the plate. The large variety of brand names and the seafood dept is my favorite.

Very clean site. Parking is always available, and typically you don't have to park no more that half-the-parking-lot distance away from the store (I guess, aproximately 75 yards maximum). The store seems to always have in stock what I or my friends/family, desire. The fruit and veggies are always fresh! I typically, find Stop & Shop more expensive, but I won't complain because the cheaper stores tend to have less services, and be on the dingy side.

Let me add that Stop & Shop employee's anybody that legaly wants to work, not like some of those other chains who discriminate -no names.

Downfall is (1) Customer Service is usually unmanned and the customer has no information to go on regarding getting help. (2) At times the market has long lines to which I feel are unnecessary. Even I feel they can control their lines without opening a new register.

Great place to shop very convenient easy in easy out only thing they need more cashier's other than that love shopping ️ their!

Nice market. Totally lacking in cashiers. Two were working in the whole place with 6+ customers waiting per line. Self service was just as bad.

My favorite store to do my weekly food shopping. They have everything I need, want and didn't know I wanted. The store is clean, fully stocked and everything is easy to find either by looking or checking the signs above each aisle. I like the supply of groceries, meats, produce they have and everything is always fresh and clean. The store is very presentable and worthy of a visit.

So I work for a reputable Pizza place in Mt. Vernon. Today we delivered 5 hot Pizza too Stop and Shop and didn’t even charge a delivery charge. I get there nobody knows who the Pizza is for. The bill came out to $86 so as I waited patient for 15 mins or so I finally get paid and the didn’t even leave a tip for myself. I’m a frontline worker just like these folks and delivery drivers depends on they’re tips. I’ll never Shop there again! Unbelievable!

Lady at deli counter is great, very friendly and helpful.
But when it came to checkout. The worst, only one cashier, and 3 out of 6 self scan machines working.
No one at customer service or manger to be found. Asked lady walking, she said short workers.
Really two ladies was just basically lazy. Didn't want to go on register to bring down the line.
Just praise the young lady at the register making the best of it.

The store had no more water, no more steaks, very limited in stock in certain items and on top of that my shopping experience was poor at the register. JULIAN our cashier was very short and rude in dialogue, he may have been having a really bad day but as a general manager in retail I know how hard it can be but my attitudestays outside and my acting is 100% present on the floor. I had recieved a coupon from my purchase and my husband made a purchase right after, because I got the coupon I asked that he scan it for my husband, he refused and said it won't work. I responded I've tried it a couple weeks ago and it worked, if he thinks he can just scan it for us, he said no. Because I was appalled by his abrupt tone and response I said wow, ok. He then responded "if you want me to try it I'll try it but your acting like I'm buggin, like im trippin or something. " I explained I did not acuse him of anything and I was just shocked at how hes responding to us, he attempted to scan the coupon and then claimed it doesnt even scan so theres nothing he can do, my husband just asked for the coupon back and said don't worry about it. The problem is not that I couldn't use the coupon, if that was really the case, but it was his lack of assistance and his short responses as if we were annoying or inconveniencing him, a proper response could have been, "if that is the coupon you just earned today, it's not effective until the next day, but I will give it a try for you. " Or when attempting to scan it and it not working, simply inputting the number code underneath the barcode and assuring that it didnt work afterward. Im disappointed at this experience especially because I've been shopping at this stop and shop for over 15 years and have never been spoken to or dealt with in that matter from this establishment. I think JULIAN has to undergo a little more training in the customer servicing field to give his shoppers a better experience, or maybe he just had a bad night and I unfortunately became the reciever for it. Nonetheless, terribly disappointing.

Clean and well stocked. All staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. Stock was low on sale items, but that’s to be expected and an employee actually asked what I was looking for and brought it from the back! Lines are much shorter after 8/8: 30.

Very good and help me out I got my cake for my wife it was her birthday very clean to carry me right away and I wanted to buy a lot of stuff thank you very much for keeping it clean and safe

I like to deal with 100% compliance with a face mask there was plenty of room to move around and the manager was very gracious to help me when I need it to get into the UPS box and so is he customer service representative at the yourself service aisle so it's a very good experience very good experience

Stoo and shoo is okay, it's clean and easily able to find what you're looking for. Staff is helpful and plenty of food choices. Only thing is that it can get a bit expensive ‍️

There is a heavy set lady with a very nasty attitude should not be in customer service she makes me want to shop elsewhere.
