Straight Cut Barber Shop, Jamaica NY

Let's just say there's a reason why people stick to the same barber and I regret randomly walking in here for a cut. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible but certainly way off than what I asked for. He also seemed confused as to how cut my hair, it's like if he messed up he tried to fix it but it came out looking.well, bad.
Needless to say I will not be returning or even be going to a different barber from now on. I'll stick to my barber that I've had for 10+ years.

For an update: I do not know the person who gave me a haircut as it was my first time walking in there. But rest assured that I don't mean any negativity towards your business, I actually wouldn't hesitate to try again. Maybe it was just an off day, my own barber has those.

Just moved to Queens and was hesitant about trying a new barber shop. The vibe in Straight Cut was welcoming and professional. Jessica did an amazing job with my hair/beard.

Hands down the best barbershop in Queens. The barbers were welcoming to me my first time at the shop. Adelmi the owner has been cutting my hair for about a year now and he never disappoints. Try this barbershop for yourself, I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.

I usually go to far Rockaway for my son hair cuts because I haven’t found a good barber who could cut my son hair the way I want it in my area (flushing queens). But I think I found a new barber! Best hair cut my son ever had HANDS DOWN! Love it

When I came in the first time the team at the shop greeted me like I was at home. When I got my haircut I explained to the barber what I wanted and he completed my request. Thank you Straight cut barber shop.

Clean and professional. A bit pricey but the quality is well worth it. The atmosphere of the shop is peaceful and friendly.

As a mom on the go, I love how my son is always well taken care of by Adelmy and his crew. They have such a friendly atmosphere here. You’re greeted upon entering and they’re always so accommodating. My son is an actor and is always called for a last minute audition. I end up just popping up and they’ve never let me down. Thank you guys so much for what you do for this community. You’ve truly raised the bar.

I've been to this barber twice before and i had a great experience but I got my haircut from sean and his customer service was very unprofessional. Did not greet me or speak up to me at all. It seems like it was a burden for him to cut my hair. It was near closing time and it seemed like all he wanted to do was rush my haircut to go home.

This place was amazing. I came here today for a haircut and the moment I walked in, I was greeted, I felt welcomed. The barbers were hella chill, it was a clean, friendly environment overall, the barber who cut my hair today did a great job, payed attention to detail and was precise as hell. I'd recommend this place to my family and friends.

Okay so I just moved into the area and of course was looking for a barbershop. I searched and finally! I found you guys! I sat with the barber named Nico. And let me tell you I am blown away by the service he provided. He was very nice and attentive. Was definitely hearing me out for the cut n style I wanted. He paid attention to detail which to me is superior when it comes to customer service! I will DEFINITELY be coming back to see him for my next haircut!

Adelmy hands down is the best barber out there. He has been cutting my hair for about 10.5 years now and knows how to give you the cut to fit your look. I have not used any other barber but him. Not only does the barbers at Straight Cut give you clean cuts, they also maintain the cleanliness of the shop and have 3 televisions so, you could watch the games and movies both while your waiting to get you hair cut and even when your on the barber chair. All the barbers in this shop are welcoming. The location for the shop is great and there is always tons of street parking. I personally have family that comes from as far as Maryland and Long Island to get their hair cuts from Adelmy and his team. If your in the area and looking for a hair cut, stop by this shop and try them out. Trust me, you will always go back.

One of the best barbershops in Queens. They are all great professionals who know how to cut hair. The shop is clean and they are really welcoming and create a pleasant experience from the moment you walk in the door.

I came here in a pinch after train delays made me miss closing time at my usual barber shop. I had never been here before, but when I walked in, every single one of the four barbers enthusiastically greeted me and immediately made me feel welcome. I did not call ahead but Nico was able to take me right away. He was very communicative, understood exactly what I wanted (a tight fade up top with a neat trim and sharp lines on my beard), and he delivered. An earlier review mentioned being rushed as a new customer in favor of regulars - but after I sat down, Nico had two (apparent) regulars walk in. Yet, he did not change the attention to detail he paid my haircut or speed up. So all in all, the fade is on point, prices are reasonable, and customer service is impeccable.

Very friendly barbershop. Great team! Shop is very clean, entertainment available via Netflix, and always guaranteed to get a good cut. Adelmy is a great owner, and values respect and professionalism. Highly recommend!

Asked if I can trim a little off the top towards the end of the haircut and the barber Nico starts yelling and acted extremely unprofessional. Very rude and does not know how to speak to clients.
