Strong Memorial Hospital: Ciaschi Cynthia M reviews
16Most uncompassionate hospital with no common sense. I would say it is not so much the staff but the policies and procedures that are in place. I would not trust them with my health. They make life altering choices on their own without giving options or talking about risks. Then after 7 hours of being a patient, mysteriously testing for positive for covid, no symptoms, already double vaxed and being forced into isolatation from all loved ones when going through a devastating time which I will not mention here. Horrible horrible horrible.
Years ago, but had wonderful experience there with pediatric neurology for our daughter’s treatment.
This place is a maze and everyone knows it. But if you get lost don't bother asking for directions, everyone is so rude
Definitely not worth the aggravation they have no business in this environment. They use a guessing game approach to treatment trial and error. Humans aren’t automobiles.
THE worst hospital EVER.
Terrible treatment,
Terrible communication,
Terrible doctors,
Terrible Social Dept,
Its so bad, I have been told so many accounts of people and their family here that I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE.
Should be closed down.
Never have I seen someone treated so poorly than I did today! That is somebody’s father, that is somebody’s husband! I hope none of your family ever gets sick and has to go through what my husband did today! To sit there and let someone suffer is so inhumane. You aren’t here to help people! You are here for power, power trips and a paycheck!
Fuck3d my back, neck and head from a spinal tap that they had done with doctors in training. They did a terrible job. The person that took my blood went all the way through the Vayne and tried to play It off.
Even as an employee, I am truly often ashamed by my association.
The poor quality of the patient experience here can often be directly tracked back to some of the things I've personally seen happening or not happening as the case may be.
Your nurses or doctors at URMC might be perfectly fine.stellar even.
The billing process here has an extremely high chance of being mishandled. The University will often hire what it presumes are stellar forward-facing employees and medical professionals, all while hiring incompetent back office employees relying on antiquated processes to "support" those medical professionals in the background, so whatever the quality of the medical care you received, the second your appointment is finished it may be being undercut by the other confused, shirking, stalling employees "working" (not understanding things, pushing job tasks onto others, delaying or outright NOT doing things, seeing things wrong and NOT fixing them, doing things wrong and not knowing it,) behind the scenes.
All caps for a reason. MOST DISORGANIZED PATIENT PICK UP I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! DON'T EVEN CARE HOW THE MEDICAL SERVICE IS AT THIS POINT! BYE
Just spent the weekend here after having Covid and some shortness of breath. I developed a blood clot in my lung. They were quick to react and the nurses are just amazing. The amount of patients in ER and just constant stream of complaining was incredible. Insane people don’t understand what’s going on right now the massive amount of people going to ER because of Covid. I can’t give enough positive praise to staff who I interacted with. (huge props to Brad in ER, Dr Hanson an absolutely the best nurse in Abbeye!)
I was treated for a stroke over Christmas and I couldn't have been treated better. From the clean up staff to the nurses to the doctors, I was treated with the utmost care and concern. Everyone was extremely polite and seemed genuinely concerned for my health. Even the food was excellent. I don't think food service gets the credit they deserve but the food was like any great restaurant in town. The menu was like 5 pages long with a wide variety of food. I was extremely impressed. I haven't been in a hospital in about 20 years and back then the food was something to be desired. Not now. Thank you staff.
Seems like they juat push issues to the back, i missed my first neruo appointment, (they scheduled i did not pick this date) a day before Christmas eve so it did slip my mind. I have terrible pregnancy headache idk why they happen but i tried calling to reschedule the appointment they even turned down the new reference emergency letter and said it cannot be honored despite my condition, i missed first appointment. Not to mention i had an regular OB appointment which i was left in the room for about 2 hrs had to keep comming out to ask whats taking so long.im tired of these hospitals they all the same they dont really care but STRONG is supposes to be #1 in YEA OK, maybe because im black idk seem like its one issue after another, they dont even care of you are hanging om for dear life your going to either have to wait 3-5 hours or you are just going to be denied. WISH I CAN FIND A GOOD FAMILY OWNED MORE TOGATHER TYPE ORIENTED PLACE ONE WHO CARES ABOUT YOU AND YOUR ISSUES.
I wish I could give U of R a negative review for billing and transparency for patients. Their system is disgraceful. When I call for information on what will be billed or what the bills cover I am shuttled between the office 'who doesn't know' and the billing department 'who doesn't know'. I hope the administration grows a conscious and gets this in order for the people they are serving.
The doctors that I actually had a chance to speak with, were clear in explaining the health of my brother while in the ER. But ER itself is ridiculous. Most of the staff don't care about the feelings of the family. In 4 days since my brother arrived I have yet to speak to a nurse, simply asking a for an update. I'm being told every time I call that a nurse will return my call. My brother can't have visitors, on a ventilator, and we just have to sit back and wait patiently I guess to hear anything. Well we actually care about our family member and we are not being treated fairly. I've called all times of the day, in fact right now it's 5: 30 am, I woke up to call and the answer is still the same. At this point most of the staff at the front desk knows who I am because I've called so much. This is so frustrating.
I visited a friend during covid said towels smelled like boo-boo. More bleach next time please MRSA exists
My fathers who is checked in to this hospital has been waiting for a procedure which has been cancelled twice. It turns out it’s the anesthesiologist cancelling the procedure. I would think a hospital of this size would have enough doctors for a procedure. It was a mistake coming here as they don’t treat elderly patients well. The staff are short and act like they are inconvenienced by your questions. Also communication from the nurses and doctors is very poor. I constantly had to call to get information. What bothers me while only one person can visit a patient, there are certainly a lot of staff walking around without masks.
