Stuart Funeral Services, Brooklyn NY

Stuart funeral services was recommended to me by a friend a few days after my mom died. From the first conversation I had with Alva (owner) I decided that I wanted her to help us send my mom off. Alva was very pleasant and the way she spoke I felt confident that she was the right fit for our family. I didn’t seek out any other funeral service place and the previous number I had I deleted it out of my phone.
When our family had the initial zoom meeting with Alva she listened to what we wanted and asked several questions about my mother to make sure things would be as personal as possible.
The date was set for March 26,2023. There was time where we had a deadline for the pictures and design for the program and because of our grieving we almost didn’t meet that deadline. Alva was patient and understanding and gently got us to do what we needed to!
A few days before the funeral I met with her for me to do my mother’s dreadlocks. I brought the products I needed but she had many different products just in case I came with nothing! I was thinking that was very thoughtful of her.
The day of the funeral her and her staff were on time, well dressed and professional! The flowers, displays, balloons and colors were all on point. My mom was dressed well and she had a smile on her face. That was the first funeral I have ever been to where the person was smiling! They greeted everyone in a pleasant manner, they were gentle when opening and closing the casket as if mom was still alive….
I can go on and on but I will just say this …. It was a pleasure to have met Alva. She did a very good job taking care of my mother. I will forever recommend Stuart funeral services. I just hope I would not have to hire her again any time soon…. Meaning I hope no one else close to me dies any time soon.

I rarely give five star rating but this one is well earned and deserved. Alva owner of Stuart Funeral home provided excellent service to my family in our time of grief. Alva is very professional, courteous, patient and hard working. She treated our loved one like it was her very own. We were blessed to have chosen Stuart services. Alva & her staff with Stuart family services went above, and beyond the call of duty. Beautiful work and professional as always, but this go around she took personal care of my grandmother, I would recommend nothing but the best! Truly thankful for leaving Stuart family services to take care of my loved one, and anyone will appreciate the hard work! 10000000/10 would recommend!

On January 28th our loved one passed on. We called STUART FUNERAL SERVICES, to make the arrangements for the funeral. From the beginning, we felt our loved one was treat with dignity and respect. Thank you Ms Alva and the Staff. The wake was beautiful very professional. The service was EXCELLENT in every way, and we HIGHLY recommend STUART FUNERAL SERVICES. Stuart Funeral Services, LLC where should I start? Alva went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Alva is a professional and is passionate about her work. Alva is very approachable.kind.considerate and caring. Alva pulled all of this together in 3 days! When we walked into the church on Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised with the remarkable job you did with my stepdad Duncan. He looked dapper.the balloons, the slide show and the blanket was a huge surprise. We loved it.
