13Overpriced food that doesn’t even taste good. The korean fried chicken wing is so embarrassing and disappointing. Japchae tasted so burnt and overcooked. Small portion sizes, didn’t even include utensils on my to-go order. The packaging was so messy and the lid of the container is literally cracked? Maybe don’t provide old food to customers definitely when there paying this much. Scamming a broke college student like give me a refund?
Amazing Korean food. The seafood pancake and fried chicken were particularly excellent. Highly recommend.
Amazing food love the side dishes here and the spice from the army stew and other dishes really do mean business.
I came on a Friday night and it was sooooo busy. After getting a seat, I ordered the Bulbogi and my husband ordered the Kalbi. We ended up sharing, and both meats were tender and flavorful - it tasted just like how Grandma makes it - so so so tasty! We also upgraded to the Kimchi Fried rice - a no brainer.
We also ordered the Corn Cheese (very creamy, one of the most memorable flavor profiles), and ordered the Crispy Fried Chicken Wings. The wings were larger than Bon Chon (honestly all wings are larger than Bon Chon.why are they so small!? !? !) and they were suuuuuuuuuuuuper super fried/crispy.
We will have to try the Samgyeopsal entree next time - the server said that was super popular too! And definitely a budae jigae!
Server is not attentive, didn’t apply the discount even though we came with school bags and are obviously students. Seafood pancake is mostly carbs.
Love the atmosphere in here, especially the window seats looking down onto the street. However, I do feel that service can be improved and servers can be more attentive as we were seated and had to wait a while before receiving water, plus we were not given menus until we asked for them. Food was great, but the kimchi was definitely the most lackluster part of the meal and I usually judge Korean places largely by how their kimchi tastes.
They "calculate" tips for you. I order a 22$ meal and give me a 30$ bill which includes tip. They say "no need to worry about that". I think this compulsory tip is illegal. I walk pass here for a convenient lunch. I don't want to argue too much. It wastes my time. Just remind the restaurant owner, DON'T DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL.
I came with friends in late June after walking by the restaurant and was skeptical of the food, but oh boy I was wrong. The food is fantastic. I have tried multiple items on the menu and always seek to return because the quality just keeps getting better. It isn’t only the quality of food though. The quality of the employees in top notch. Always a smile on their faces and you can tell they take pride in the food they serve. This will be, for the foreseeable future, my go-to comfort Korean food spot in NYC.
Also, shout out to the server with the glasses. He’s always very kind to me when I order food, and you can tell he loves the food they serve. People like him keep this city thriving.
Just all around incredible. Food is SO good and authentic and so cheap for how much food you get. Will most definitely be coming back!
Writing this as I'm at the table. Good price for great food. I had the beef and seafood tofu soup, and it was so flavorful. Absolutely wild that I was the only person in here.
Really good food and quality ingredients, fast service and casual atmosphere. I only wish that the seafood pancake was cheaper (should be less than its current price, $14.95) for how small it was.
Delicious, affordable, and authentic Korean food with great service! We got the 갈비찜 and 잡채. Will definitely be coming back!
The waiter and chef were very hospitable. Loving atmosphere and a very cool vibe inside. Opened just 3 weeks ago!
