My cousin recommended me to see Dr. Barbato. I actually got to see Dr. Pommier and I was happy with him. He was knowledgeable. He took time in the office to get my information and ordered tests. I continue to go there and I get excellent care.

I had Rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury and saw Dr. Ralph Barbato. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and had great bedside manner. He made me comfortable although i was anxious. The staff were very friendly, and Very easy to make an appointment. I highly recommend this doctor and all the doctors there for any kidney issues.

I have been seeing Dr. Bernhardt at Suffolk Nephrology for many years. He is very knowledgable and answers all my questions. I recommend this nephrology practice.

I have been going to see Dr. Barbato and Dr. Frank for many years. They were able to pick up what my other doctors couldn't and essentially prevented me from dialysis. I am grateful for their knowledge and their wonderful bedside manner. I recommend them.

I am both a patient of this office and I worked with these doctors in the hospital setting. They are beyond superior, knowledgeable, professional, and very current in their management. I dispute some of the comments I see on the reviews as it is a very busy office in that this specialty is highly in demand, I encourage anyone with the nephrology issues to use anyone in this practice for the optimal care they deserve. Their staff is so rude when giving appointments. They are not only sarcastic but extremely rude and getting appointment here you have to wait MONTHS in advance. So if your doctor referred you to these guys and you are not well DO NOT go to these guys!

This Nephrology practice is fantastic. I see some bad reviews on this site about having to wait for an appointment, but there is a very good reason for that. Their office is very busy, because they provide excellent care. The physicians are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and explain everything in great detail. This is why there is a wait to get to see them. However, if you have a serious kidney issue or if your primary doctor calls them, they will get you in immediately. I have been coming here for years and I am very happy with the high quality care and attention I get.

These group of doctors are awesome. They are all very knowledgeable, take their time to answer all your questions. I even called Dr Barbato one weekend, and he calls me right away. Very professional and respectful. He has his way of making patients feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this group of doctors for any renal/kidney/dialysis care needed.

I had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment and had no problem with that taking into account the specialty. What I did take issue with is I arrived 20 minutes early and this tiny office with no windows had many people in it. Besides people wearing masks there were no other protocols for social distancing in place nor did anyone who worked there care to enforce it or even open a door to allow fresh air in. I went to my car with my daughter and filled out the forms. My daughter asked how long the wait would be because it was now 45 minutes past my appointment time. She was told that they" can't say" and two people were still ahead of me so I walked out. Like I said I waited 6 weeks for this appointment there was no reason why I should be waiting 45 plus minutes to see a doctor. When my daughter asked about rescheduling they told her there was a 3 month wait. Which made me realize this wasn't the doctor for me. As I saw it if I have kidney failure and need a follow up appointment I would have to wait till next year.that is crazy. Good news I found a nephrologist within Northwell health that I see in 2 weeks. God is good and I must say every Northwell doctor or facility I go to is clean, meticulous and practices and implements excellent COVID-19 protocols.
