Sun River Health Amenia

Nice staff but waiting an hour and a half to be seen… still waiting. Debating on leaving and seeing a different doctor tomorrow, cause this is insanity.

Been going for years.everone are friendly and professional.very clean place. You feel safe here.

The doctors, nurses and reception people are AWESOME.
Now let me explain why 1 star. 1st i was text a 230 appt for my mom who has lewy body dementia so i got there at 2: 15. Make sure her check in goes smooth it did. I sit and wait at 3pm i ask when she is gonna be seen the reception tells me her appt is at 245. I show her the text with the appt confirmation and she apologized due to some error. Ok. We get called in waited and waited 4pm came along and nothing. We had to leave my mom was so upset and hungry. We had to leave with out seeing the doctor.
2nd I take my mom into the bathroom and the smell was terrible it was the smell of death. They must have some rodent problem and the smell was sickening.
This isnt the first time i had to wait for more then 3 hours.
THAT IS MY 1 STAR. The wait time is more then unacceptable.

I have recently just started going to sun river in amenia and I wish I had read the reviews before I started going bc this place is horrible with communication you can’t even get through to anybody to talk like a real human they give u only so many options to choose and if it’s none of them you can’t talk to anybody and u wait and wait on hold just to talk to someone if you even get to currently waiting on a call back from then and it has been over twenty minutes already and that’s with there option to save your place on hold very disappointed with the lack of communication

Horrible communication with trying to contact them via telephone to correct their error in appointment with me. I am a new patient and very disappointed.

The doctors and nurses are so nice.but because of the horrendous wait times, the communication availability, the absolute impossibility to speak to a human I find the stress of not being able to make appointments, get refills or lab results not worth the amount of frustration. I shouldn't have to drive 8 miles to to make an appointment or refill life saving meds. Will find another place that doesn't experiment with people's patience or inadequate computerization. What a disgrace.

I HATE the parent company Sun River! Dr. Young and the other staff that I have met are FANTASTIC! BUT, the phone service of Sun River is HORRIBLE, which doesn't originate in Amenia! The best way to get an appointment is to go to the Amenia office in person.

The constant change of ownership has been neglecting patients more and more. A month or 2 ago, it took myself and my Pharmacist 5 days to refill a prescription. Yesterday has started the same cycle. So far my Pharmacist sent a request for my breathing med yesterday, I called yesterday and today. Mind you this med was "forgotten" when refilling my prescriptions at my Dr.visit 2 months ago.
A supervisor was supposed to call me 2 mos ago, never did. Her supervisor was supposed to call me yesterday, never did. The fact that I am unable to call my my Dr's ofc directly is extremely rude and just plain says THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS AT ALL! IT IS ALL ABOUT $$$$$

Now I ask AGAIN, will a supervisor call me back?

I would leave zero stars for the phones service this medical office is under now. But the doctor Abraham Young is amazing! So as long as some one actually cares enough to answer your call you might just survive what ever you are going through.

It just gets worse and worse at this place. If you even get a return call about an appointment, two days waiting at this point, the wait times are horrific. Doing my research now to find another doctor's office

It seems to be normal for them to leave you waiting in the exam room for 1.5 hours every time you go, poorly run and no one seems to care it’s that way. It’s happened too many times and will not happen again.

This place is super unprofessional. The ladies behind the front desk are rude and talk and talk and talk while they notice you are waiting to be seen. They don’t care about their actual position, they are just there to make money. Every time I go they are behind rude and dismissive.
