Sunset Park Diner & Donuts reviews
14Everything is pretty alright, food is decent, can't really complain about the service. HOWEVER the TIP is now mandatory and applied to your bill. Tipping should be an option based off of the service provided rather then being mandatory.
I didn’t sit inside to eat I order to go & when I tell you… I’m one of the most detailed reviewers I don’t easily give 5 stars what so ever. I apologize for not taking pictures I was starving but I had the pancake breakfast platter with eggs & bacon & a sugar donut. Everything was fresh & tasteful. 5 stars. They deserved it. No complaints, even the customer service for the brief moment I picked up my food was good. HAPPY FATHERS DAY finally a good diner in Brooklyn. One of few.
Pro's: manager was welcoming and friendly. The buttered toast. Very convenient and accommodating.
Cons: under cooked home fries with skin still on. Veggies such as onions and peppers were not cooked throughout. Eggs were ok but lacked any form of seasoning. Chocolate donut was a tad stale, and yes I went there at 6: 50 am so my expectations were a somewhat fresh donut.
My family and I had a brilliant breakfast here when we visited New York.
The food was delicious and the staff where very friendly and kind.
The only thing I would change is being able to pay with a card, but they do have an ATM inside the diner.
The food was amazing! The stuff is nice too and the prices are great for their food. I highly recommend this one!
Never been in New York before and I think I just had a Texas breakfast here in Brooklyn LOL
This place is small but packs a punch! I come here often when I'm in the neighborhood, it's cash only btw. Always clean and booths are small and very close to one another, but never bothered me. Never packed when I go. Will come again to this quaint diner.food is good too!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of great fresh options for breakfast or any meal. Always a favorite in the neighborhood!
Went here for a quick breakfast. Ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was a paper thin slice of way overcooked who knows what. Not enjoyable at all. Hey, even when you're hungry and anything would suffice, this was the most disappointing diner I've ever visited. Eater beware.
Oof. That's about it. Basic & in need of a bit of a tweak in all areas. But it's a staple location for the locals & those who stay in the hotels so I understand the simplicities.
This place is classic. I enjoy having breakfast every Saturday. Coffee is fresh and the best in the neighborhood.
I think they are open 24*7.100 ft from sunset park which is convenient too. I like the street view sitting inside the restaurant. Food is ok, nothin fancy.
DONUT PANCAKES! The day we visited they had a special, Donut pancakes with fresh blueberries and strawberries. It was ‘RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS’. We ordered that as a side and shared it. So good! Our entrees were very good as well.
Food was flavorful and fresh. The place is smaller than you think, so there was a short wait, but its definitely worth it.
This is my family's new favorite spot. Can't wait to go back.
