Sunshine Dance Studio, Middletown NY

Both of my daughters (4,5) started in the Fall of 2023 and they love it and have learned so much from the instructors. On top of learning dance and techniques, they are also learning respect and proper listening skills when following the instructors. My oldest daughter loves the classes and has been practicing more at home putting some technique into her free spirited dancing. It is just great to watch! My youngest daughter took a little longer to catch on but that’s because she hasn’t been in a structured setting aside from Day Care. She didn’t like the thought of me leaving while they focus on class. It has now grown on her as she gets to take classes with her sister and learn new things. I have to say as mother of two girls with lots of energy, Sunshine Dance Studios gives them the opportunity to learn and have fun. I also love the fact the older girls in the other classes help the younger ones it’s a great way to give mentorship and leadership skills. We are really excited for their first recital to see everything that they have learned. Thank you so much to all the instructors for taking your time and patience with my daughters.

Sunshine dance studio is a great place to bring your children to learn the art and discipline of dance. My daughter started here when she was three and loved it! We had to take a break for a while and ended up bringing her to another school, and there was no comparison. Sunshine Dance Studio is the far superior institution! We were so glad this past year that we were able to re-enroll our daughter here with Ms. Claudia and the other teachers! They nurture my daughters passion for dance and have helped her to grow! They are supportive and encouraging, and strive to have the kids reach their full potential! 100% recommend this school for any one who’s looking to get their kids enrolled in a program that will grow their confidence, give them structure, and a life long love of the arts!

My grand-daughter has been going to Sunshine Dance Studio for 8 years and loves it! Miss Claudia is a wonderful person and instructor. There are many different classes at the studio. Emily participates in Adaptive Creative Movement which is for those with special needs. She has grown over the years in confidence, strength and socially and this year added the Swing Jazz dance class which is not a special needs class and involves more challenging and complex dance combinations.
Miss Claudia is good and fair with all of her students. She knows each students strengths and weaknesses. She encourages each and everyone.
Something that I really appreciate is that she always takes time to communicate clearly with parents.
Some of her students assist with other classes so they too are learning the skill of teaching/coaching and some have gone on to pursue careers as speech, dance and talk therapists.
The staff and students are all very polite and caring.
I would 100% recommend Miss Claudia and Sunshine Dance Studio to anyone who wants to dance regardless of your ability to dance. You will learn to dance and have fun learning!

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Mrs. Claudia. She has taught my daughter so much about ballet and she loves it. The recital was so nice! My husband and I enjoyed seeing our daughter perform on stage. We are looking forward to many more beautiful performances in the future If you’re looking for dance classes for your kids, this is the place!

I convinced my husband to take a dance class and I regret booking it. My husband and I signed up to take a private dance lesson at Sunshine to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. Masks were required, which we weren’t notified about in advance (though the owner claimed we were) and we also had to spend 10 minutes filling out an extensive form; it was quite a lot for a 30 minute private slow dance session. We felt very forced into this and sat waiting for awhile after our lesson should have started. The instructor had immense experience in dance, as she reminded us several times, but it seemed very little experience in instruction of people who were new to dance. The instructor rushed through what she envisioned once quickly and there was little if any time for questions. She made us feel like we wouldn’t be able to pull it off unless we did multiple lessons, I imagine to get us to pay for more classes. Not worth it. I don’t feel that we learned much and when we left we looked sillier than when we started. You are better off with basic YouTube tutorials. Following this lesson we totally scrapped the dance she had planned and did our own. It went great! We generally don’t ever complain but this was a miserable experience and my husband wanted to keep another inexperienced couple from making the same mistake.

I found this dance studio after searching and contacted about 20 different places. We started my daughter right after they opened there new location that is absolutely beautiful. My daughter loves it! And the dance instructors are all amazing. You can even take classes online and have make up sessions on other days which is so convenient for a working mom or dad.
Updated. Mrs. Claudia and Mris. April are amazing. My daughter has done this whole season and has absolutely love it. The recital was adorable and the kids had so much fun. They created a stage inside the dance studio and work and effort and love they put into it was just perfectly amazing. The girls and boys looked so cute in the recital dresses and outfits.

I recently enrolled my daughter at Sunshine Dance Studio and I am extremely impressed with the quality of instruction and overall experience. Miss Claudia and her amazing instructors are not only highly skilled dancers themselves, but they are also excellent teachers who are able to effectively communicate and demonstrate dance techniques to students of all skill levels.

What I appreciate most about at Sunshine Dance Studios is the variety of dance styles offered. My daughter was drawn to ballet and she’s only 3 years old and she loves it.

The studio is clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.

My special needs daughter loves to dance. During the pandemic we were extemely fortunate to find Sunshine Dance Studios. They provided lessons via zoom where my daughter was able to take the special needs ACM class and the solo swing class. Miss Claudia and Miss April were amazing in making my daughter feel comfortable with learning new styles of dance via the computer. Now my daughter absolutely enjoys going into studio, she finally is able to dance with others and has made new friends. She spends her Saturday taking Jazz/hip hop/tap, ACM and swing class with Miss Claudia, Miss April and Miss Nicole. Everyone at the studio is caring, patient, and respectful. I highly recommend Sunshine Dance Studio it is a wonderful safe fun place where people of all abilities and levels can express themselves through dance!

My daughter started taking classes at Sunshine Dance Studio about 2 months ago and she absolutely loves it. Ms. Claudia’s professionalism and patience just makes the whole experience all the better. Looking forward to many more classes.

Miss Claudia is amazing! Our son attended Sunshine Dance Studio during the pandemic, and absolutely loved it. He enjoyed the showcase at the end of the sessions the most. It helped him explore and create new foundations for his theatrical future. Our three old daughter is in the ballet/dance and is absolutely thriving. She’s socializing and looking forward to every dance class!
