Supreme Court Queens County reviews
16Entering the court house, the officers were very helpful and kind. Answer all my questions politely. Except for the lady at widow 6.
Everyone was very nice to me when I went in to file some papers, from the guards, to the notaries, court help and eFile staff. The only person who had an attitude and was rude was the cashier.
It's now 8 months and counting since I filed an uncontested, (no children) divorce and to date not a word. I called last month to check on the case and the clerk who responded was very rude. Why is an uncontested divorce taking 9-12 months. It's like poor people are being punished for wanting to get out of bad relationships.
Good but you have to go and back with the prosser they don tell you from the beginning what you will need
I was walking down Sutphin Boulevard when I came across the Queens Supreme Court Building and decided to walk in. Security was friendly and helpful. Electronics are allowed into the building but use is restricted in certain areas. Wifi could get a little spotty. I noticed street parking - metered - was available when you get there around 11a. There was a kiosk with important visitor information I placed in the photos. Be sure to have a look before tour next trip to this beautifully modernize facility. Best to you.
Clean! Convenient location in Queens, by the train, buses, and many stores and restaurants! Friendly staff.
This is the ONLY court in the tristate area who is taking 9 whole months to complete an uncontested divorce. The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. My neighbor filed for a divorce at Bronx Supreme Court 3 weeks after me and he is already divorced. Something needs to be done! Every court went thru the pandemic not just Queens. And on top of that the workers are extremely rude. Uncontested divorce without children shouldn’t go 9 months into a year. That is crazyyyyyyyy
You go in with an attitude, you get attitude. Whatever the reason you're there, take a breath before you go in; accept the reason that you are there and resolve the situation.
Even though you’re uncontested divorce applicants this court house takes the longest time to get divorced
don’t believe on what you see on website or your lawyer too it takes anywhere between 2-5 years! Forget about contested divorce it will take you the lifetime
Their website needs to update the hours it is open/ when it closes for their lunch hours since the court house close to go to lunch from 12: 45 p.m. To 2: 00 p.m. And many people do not know that. By doing this, people do not waste their time coming in and waiting more than an hour or so, such as I did today. I took the time out of my busy schedule to come here but found it closed. Please take this into consideration.
Thanks
People are really rude, I needed help to file an answer and this guy was super rude to me, on the E-file section all of them left me there standing they were just sitting down, i ask once again for help abd this rude guy came with the baddest attude they should fired them all
Efficient courthouse with kind and professional people working there every time I visited to get things done. Everyone there has been very courteous and helpful towards me.
THE WORST EVER! The RUDEST employees I have ever seen in the Administration Office on the 7th Floor. Supervisor is extremely RUDE and expects the client to know court jargon and terms. I despise going to this place.
I filed for my divorce Supreme Court Queens County they are very helpful process was completed.
I had a pleasant experience today. I came after lunch time about 2 pm on Friday and went to the court clerk to get some documents. The guys at the entrance were very friendly and nice. The staff at the clerk room is very helpful too. Thank you!
Today was a wonderful day, I thought they changed some employees or maybe do sorry if somr of then died for covid, because all the reviews said bad things about this court. But today everyone was helping a lot. Only the security was really rude in front the door doing the checking temperature and others stuff.
