Surfish Bistro reviews
21Some of the most delicious food in Brooklyn. Every dish is cooked to perfection and has amazing flavor. If you like spice, flavor, and an eclectic mix of items, Surfish is your place! I particularly recommend the ceviches as well.
The food is excellent, just the Black Paella is a bit too salty. Overall, the seafood is fresh.
I recently dined at Surfish Bistro in Brooklyn and had a delightful experience. My boyfriend and I dropped by for lunch while in the area, and we were not disappointed. He ordered the lomo saltado, and I opted for the salmon – both dishes were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. Everything felt very fresh and our waiter was friendly. The attention to taste and presentation was evident in each bite. While we unfortunately missed out on experiencing the restaurant's ambiance, the quality of the food more than made up for it. I would have given it a full five stars if we had been able to fully immerse ourselves in the vibe, but overall, our meal at Surfish Bistro was a tasty and enjoyable one. While we regrettably didn't have the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in the restaurant's ambiance due to our brief lunch stop, the attentive service and the quality of the food compensated for it. If the quality of the food is any indication, I have no doubt that the overall dining experience would be equally exceptional given the chance. It's a definite must-visit for anyone seeking a delectable Peruvian culinary adventure in Brooklyn.
It is quite a busy place so it is better to go with a reservation, we walked in and got the last available table. The food comes in large portions, I had the Black paella, shared with my husband and we took home.
Amazing food, great service, awesome atmosphere. Every bite bursting with flavor. Ribs melt in your mouth. Paella is incredible
Excellent Peruvian restaurant. The tapas are to die for and I highly recommend the black rice paella. The portions are very generous. Some dishes are best shared.
My family and i come here all the time and the food never disappoints! This place has the loveliest staff as well.we’ll be coming back for more.
Honestly, everytime I come here I get mad at myself for not coming more often. Everything is exceptional! And very technically well done
Delicious ceviché. Fresh flavors, bright presentation, attentive staff. What more do you want? This place is great!
Nice atmosphere, good food
I loved the dish called corvina, it is a white fish but delicious, and the black paella if you are a seafood food lover, super Peruvian food super delicious
Excellent food! The appetizers are the best. The squid pasta may not be for everyone. It doesn’t take like a typical pasta, more so has an unfamiliar paste. If you don’t enjoy experimenting with food I will recommend some of the other common food items like the steak
Amazing Peruvian food with fancy twists. Surprised it’s not more packed (which is not a problem because service was fast and attentive) but likely because of the area.
Great little spot, was super empty when I walked in. But maybe it was just a slow day. I know that this place’s definitely has great food and you can tell just from looking at the other tables and how beautiful the food looks. Would love to come back one day
Nice restaurant, great service, delicious food. We had the ceviche mixto, shrimp tamale, and lomo saltado. We loved each dish, the flavors were excellent.
Very disappointed I paid 60 for lomo saltado only to find 3 pieces of hair in my food and no fries with my lomo saltado this was a steal I paid 67 dollars for a small portion and no fries even very upset. And I found hair in my food I couldn’t even finish it
The best seafood I've ever had. The Oyster Ceviche, Seafood Stew, and Bone Marrow were incredible.
We love this place, it's cozy, friendly and never fails on flavors. During covid they were opened and we drove 45 min for a pick up. We now stop by periodically when in the neighborhood for a delicious and innovative ceviche or my ultimate favorite grilled prawns. Drinks are solid, nothing crazy fancy which is perfect as this place is not pretentious. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and size.
Had dinner there before a show at the Bell House nearby. The sun was steaming in the huge windows and the place is casual but nice. Staff was super warm and helpful. I had the avocado salad - HUGE and with a wonderful dressing - and the fish tacos. All the food was outstanding, and great value for money. My partner loved his meal too! The menu has interesting Peruvian dishes, vegetarian dishes, and great variety. I am seriously considering another trip to BK from Manhattan to eat here again.
Our favorite restaurant in Park Slope. Great food, fresh ceviche, flavorful soups, variety of masterfully prepared seafood. And really great people and service
Extremely delicious. The beet salad is great too! The lomo is crazy tasty. The sea bass was yummy.
