Sushi Akio, Forest Hills NY

Very dishonest business. I gave the waiter my card to pay for the meal, with $15 in cash for the tip. The waiter even asked if the cash was for the tip and I explicitly told them that "Yes, the cash is for the tip". So they took my card to pay for the meal and pocketed the $15 cash tip. A few days later while looking over my transaction history, I saw that the restaurant charged me an extra $20. The waiter charged me an extra 25% tip on my card on top of the $15 cash tip I already gave them. The waiter didn't mention anything about the tip on the card when giving me the card back or anything, probably hoping I wouldn't notice at all. So the waiter basically took a $35 tip for a meal that costed $80, that's 44%. The waiter is sleazy, scummy, and dishonest. I will definitely be disputing the charge with my bank and never going there again. Was it really worth losing a valuable customer over $20?

Omg I tired their omakase that is so freshly made. Wroth every penny you spend! Great price excellent value. I highly recommend everyone tried out their sushi and sashimi.

This is my favorite sushi place in Forest Hills. There's something about their authentic sushi quality here that really appeals to my palate. Thanks for all the delicious rolls you make!

I ordered a delivery of
Miso soup, salad, and some hand rolls. I have recently moved into the neighborhood and I have been trying new locations. The salad and soup were tasty. The rolls did not really have flavor specifically the shrimp tempura roll. Tasted as if the panko crumbs were not seasoned. The food was alright.

I’ve been going here for a while and I love this place! Food is always fresh and tastes amazing. Went from occasionally going there to seeing them every week). The owners are so nice and polite, always treat you with respect. My favorite place in the neighborhood!

Omakase was fresh and unique but was overpriced. Their listed menu price for omakase is about half the actual omakase price.

Amazing sushi! Best sushi I have had in Queens, has the home made touch to it and chef special tested amazing. 100% recommend to anyone who wants good sushi, I have been looking for a good sushi spot since my time living in Japan and Sushi Akio did not disappoint. Definitely try them out, staff is friendly and amazing as well. It's a hidden gem in the wall.

A bit off the beaten path, but was recommended by a family friend. The place has an Omakase that came with 18 pieces and hand roll. The quality was on par with many of the places I've been to in Manhattan. The restaurant is run by a couple and at times do to the volume of take out the process was a bit slow so recommend on a night when you don't have to be anywhere. I will definitely be back.

Always delicious, not too pricey, usually pretty quick, everyone is super nice, but they don’t do their own deliveries, that’s all through apps like Postmates or Ubereats where a third party chooses to pick up your food, so I’m not sure how or why people are complaining about delivery when that’s not the restaurant’s fault

I rarely give low review to a restaurant until it is really bad but today experience is pretty unpleasant. Not only the order is do wrongly, the rolls that I order are a mess. It can't barely call roll. It is more like rice mixed w fish. The chief is a young girl.so where is the sushi chief? I hope he is only off otherwise the restaurant will not last.
