Sushi Damo, New York NY

I was in the area staying at Manadarin, and I ate at Damo two nights in a row this past weekend/. I'm a fan, service, food quality, drinks.all on point. Will return in March. I do recommend

This place is not for the client, unfortunately I live near the area and they close a various different times and always rush you when you’re eating. I drove at 9: 55 pm and the host in the front door rushed to tell me they are closed although the hours online says it closes at 11: 00 pm. The only reason I come is cause I live near by but this was the last time I will come here. The service is terrible when it come to the client feeling rushed out disgraceful.

Very good sushi.
Fish is fresh and the tempura is always done to perfection.
Classy but relaxed vibe.

Had the chicken teriyaki with veggies and strawberry lemonade for lunch. Food was tasty and freshly made. The service was good. Nice atmosphere.

The restaurant is beautiful, the chefs have excellent attention to detail, and the service is friendly and attentive. I ordered a specialty sushi roll (blue crab and eel) and the signature kontotsu ramen.

Amazing restaurant to experience Japanese cuisine in Hell's Kitchen. My wife and I were novices of sushi and the staff kindly guided us through the rich culinary tradition. We took the sushi-sashimi platter for two and loved it. There is a good collection of sake and I would recommend Muku or Snow on Kaga. If in for dessert do try the matcha cheesecake. The staff is warm and welcoming.

Nice sushi restaurant at Columbus Circle, had a portable ice fan unit for supplemental cooling for some reason. Salmon teriyaki was good, crispy and nice sauce. Though I ordered the dinner dish instead of lunch combo, but was quickly fixed. Good option and service that's not ludicrously priced.

I would like to give more stars for the service and the great evening. Thanks so much. Our 2 children were also really excited. (Thanks again for the ice cream)

This is a great sushi place! The menu is extensive and all the food we had was fresh and tasty.

Great local sushi restaurant at a great price for the neighborhood. Highly recommend eating at the bar. Also an inventive cocktail list. For a quality midtown sushi place at their prices, this is a great find.

I love this restaurant! Excellent service and the best miso soup in NYC. I took my friend last week, and he had the eel sushi and said it was the best "blank blank" sushi he's ever had. Ordered another one as well! So many other great selections. The aromas, the taste, everything about this place is amazing!

The freshness was good, the service was great, but I don’t think specialty rolls have specialty feel in them. Too plain

One of the best Ramens I've had.we tried the spicy veggie one. And sushi was great too. Excellent service.we were in and out in 30 mins!

Solid sushi and delivers well. Definitely recommend the chef special rolls, particularly the Blue Mango and Monkey roll

The sushi at Sushi Damo was good, with midtown Manhattan prices, but not too bad. They had a lot of fun specialty rolls, one of the rolls we ordered was even shaped like a heart!

The staff was a bit too attentive and the waitress was rushing us since the moment we sat down, despite having made a reservation - which got a bit annoying by the end of the meal.

I’m very conflicted about this review. The sushi & sashimi were amazing. But there was a cockroach crawling on the window next to our table. Ew. But also very tasty food.

Chic sushi restaurant. Beautiful and delicious sushis in a nice setting. Definitely try eel sushis, they are very good. Service is fast and very professional. Sitting area is very noisy, I had trouble hearing the person accross me. They should do something about it like adding noise dampeners.

Excellent service and delicious sushi! The sea urchin was exquisite. We had the spicy scallop and spicy crab sushi rolls, so yummy. Our server Young was great.

Great food came on Vacation from Orlando FL and we choose this spot over so many others and do not regret it food was amazing and service was friendly and very kind
