Sushi Gama, New York NY

Service and food there is wonderful! Sushi is amazing and for the price, I believe it was worth it. Xin, the waiter of the place, was so incredibly friendly and solicitous. He went around to make sure everyone was having a great time and would check up on you to see if you were doing well. He is really worth mentioning for his incredible professionalism and politeness. I would love to come again, because this place is a great space, clean, and lively.

I usually wouldnt eat at a place like this but it was late night and this was the only place open nearby and im glad it was. Ordered the chicken teriyaki with white rice. Let me tell you it was literally the best chicken teriyaki I've ever had. The staff was very very courteous and kind. Definitely will be coming back here. I'm very happy there are still restaurants around who care about their customers. The waitress was very warm and welcoming thank you for making it a great experience although it was to go. I enjoyed the food and hospitality. The one and only thing I'd say that needs work is the rice box to go. It's quite small and I mean small small I never seen a rice box that small lol other than that excellent service

If the place wouldn't bankrupt my bank account I would definitely come again over and over again.
From the beginning, our server Xin was absolutely outstanding. Xin was attentive and unassuming. He's warm and friendly and he went above and beyond to make our dining experience spectacular.
Definitely worth the splurge every now and then because the food was absolutely divine. Super fresh. Well-composed flavors. And we also enjoyed the drink pairings. I definitely left full of delicious food and great libations! And you have to ask Xin to make the drinks for you, he can personalize a cocktail for you. I would 10/10 recommend this place for a special occasion and a must-try if you are in Manhattan.

Goodness, what an extraordinary experience. We came again here for our anniversary and were truly treated like gods. Our server xin was fantastic- always willing to explain what it is we were eating, how best to eat it, and around when we needed him but not overly invasive. The food itself is phenomenal. There just aren't words. Overall such a great experience. I wish i could give more stars.

I've been here twice so far and have been impressed by the food quality, and on top of that the service was exceptional! Shout out to our server, Xin, who took amazing care of us! I will definitely be back again!

Been anticipating this restaurant for a while now and it sure did not disappoint! Our server xin was super friendly and very attentive. The food was amazing and it had lots of amazing options! The service was quick and the technology was eye-catching and mind blowing. Plenty of options for everyone! The dessert was also fantastic. I recommended coming here and having Xin as a server!

It’s just not that great compared to the other very good sushi options on the UES. Typical 2nd Avenue quality.

Sushi gama was exceptional! And they close at 2: 00 Am, it’s such a welcoming space for a midnight meal.
The service is always great, and the manager xin was very informative, diligent and friendly. He made our family night dinner special. And I love the vegetarian options. Sushi is the best ever. Such fresh amazing vegetarian dishes, everything was so good.

Excellent food and service. Xin was a cute guy and a great manager. We will be back very soon. We look forward to trying some of the other sushi rolls and drinks.

This is a great sushi spot and xin is an awesome server, great with suggesting tasty options and attentive to our needs. He kept refilling our water glasses full and understood my need for gluten-free (it's a bad intolerance where I'll get very sick - not a choice).
Our sushi arrived exactly how we ordered, and he ensured we were pleased with everything. Next time we're in the area, we'll be back! And definitely go ask for Xin again!

Have so much love for this place it has left a great impression from the moment I walked in. Sushi gama has certainly become one of our favorite japanese spots in NY. It's worth every penny given the food quality, service, atmosphere, and decoration of the restaurant.
Before delving into the dinner dishes, the specials were deliciously filling - both the Tricolor sushi and chirashi were beautifully presented with notable flavors and rice preparation in the former and generous, super fresh cuts in the latter. The deftly priced premium chirashi lived up to its cost - a gargantuan, yet beautifully-presented array of sashimi cuts comprising mostly of the day's specials with sushi rice, ikura, and other small accompaniments on the side. The teriyaki blew me away with its flavors and succulence.
Service was consistently friendly and attentive throughout our visits. Our server Xin was amazing, one of the best we ever had. He did a great job taking care of us. Very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We also watched him interact with the other customers around us and we were impressed. It seems that he really cares and likes his job. I hope his excellent performance is acknowledged and rewarded.

Sushi Gama is an amazing dining experience. I've been here a few times now and have always left tickled by the food, cocktails, and service, it’s a really pleasant experience. Our waiter Xin is the best! Service was very quick and accommodating. Xin dedication to providing a grand experience is evident and the food speaks for itself. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone looking to dine in manhattan. We ordered the popular dishes for the most part, you can definitely trust Xin to let him recommend for you. This guy knows everything and he can explain to you in great detail.
This restaurant is great for group dinners or a date and I'd definitely return again.

Excellent! I think it is the best sushi restaurant in manhattan. The food was fantastic 10/10 seriously worth everything at this place. I was there today on Valentine's Day without a reservation and I only waited 10 minutes to get a table. The service of the waiters seriously made me feel very good, especially the lady who was really the best. I think it became the best restaurant you can go to on a date as it is. They also gave me a rose! They are details that believe me, in NY they are not easy to achieve. If you are the owner or boss of this site let me tell you that you have the best team working for you!

The sushi was really great. Service was a little slow but they were very busy when I was there.

Got a basic avocado eel roll and some edamame with a pitcher of Sapporo. My mate have some special rolls. We found both of our food to be mediocre at best. Even the Sapporo was so flat when it was poor no head formed. Don’t think I’d even come back.
