Sushi Seki reviews
15Rude hostess, bad service, fruit flies everywhere, and decent sushi. Take your money elsewhere.
Interesting and creative sushi place. Some dishes are really good - white tuna sushi with seared tomato and triple decker with caviar and uni. Other dishes are not so good, such as fried chicken and seaweed salad. But overall, it is a good sushi spot in the city
Not a pleasant experience. Had to wait over an hour for our food, hand roll was soggy. Fruit flies flying around us, and into our food. Complained to the waitress, and she didn’t care. Complained to the manager, and she didn’t care either. Deserves a zero.
Had dinner myself and was given a table in the front corner of the restaurant by the door despite a completely vacant dining room. I was joined by plenty of fruit flies constantly landing in and around my food and sake glass. The wall next to the table was filthy. I am only giving 2 stars because I’ve been here for omakase before and it was delicious but this time I’m very disappointed. I got the sushi and sashimi combo and it was mostly a deep fried roll.certainly not worth $65 for this entree. I was ignored by my waiter as we made eye contact and I was trying to waive the flies out of my face and off of my food and he said nothing. Last pictures are of the wall covered with flies. Gross!
Seki was good. Now just a sushi snob with rude hostess. It passed on to the fish and it sucks now. SUSHI SNOB. YOUR NOT ALL THAT. NEXT
I like it, but because Japan began to discharge nuclear contaminated water into the sea, I will never eat sushi again so sad.
The hostess' are incredibly rude, I have picked up Uber eats orders from here and the hostess is incredibly rude. Yes some delivery drivers are annoying, but there is no reason to be this nasty to people. Whether they are dining in or picking up an order, you treat everyone nice. It is funny how the guys at the liquor store across the street were a million times friendlier.
The hostesses awful attitude made me lose my appetite. Looking at these reviews it looks like i’m not the only one… would’ve been a much more pleasant experience without the miserable hostesses who look like they hate their job and life unfortunately and take it out on paying customers.
Absolutely the best sushi I've ever had! Try the one with the tomato on top.it was delicious!
Flavors and freshness were 5 stars. Unforgettable!
Try the salmon tomato it is the most incredible bite. Salivating thinking about it. The tuna avocado salad is also delicious.
The sushi was better here during the pandemic. Most disappointing was the seared tuna roll. Not bad just not great.
The food is quite good and the atmosphere good as well (with the exception of the center section of the restaurant). It is pricey. However you cannot trust the recording that says (before they open at 5) to leave your reservation info and they will call you back. If you don't speak to them in person you likely have nothing. Not sure why they tell you to leave your info if they don't use it.
What a disappointment from one of my favorites. Success seems to have ruined this place which was ice cold, even after I moved to the back. Service was horrible. The sushi was decent. No better. $14 for spicy scallop roll, a favorite, totally exploitative. I’ve been to this place scores of times. Was one of my favorites.
170 dollars for omakase per person… not worth it at all. Nothing was out of the ordinary and pieces were just boring. I wouldn’t come here for omakase again but maybe their rolls are better. In my opinion this place was a complete rip off and I’m very disappointed.
After previously having an awesome experience, we had a totally average sushi experience here. Something you’d expect at a $20 sushi takeaway. Disappointed
