I wanted to take the time to thank the staff and doctors at SV Pediatrics. We transfered our family here last year upon moving back from the Hudson Valley within the Allied Health group and the transfer was seamless. Luckily we also have found the practice to be super thorough with our children and especially our newborn of which has had some allergy issues/ear infections/RSV and so on her first few months.

All of the doctors, nurses and staff have always been very accommodating to getting us timely appointments to taking extra time with us when needed. If we have to wait a little extra time to be seen we are ok with that because we know how much detail goes into every appointment even when the office is packed with appointments. We have been working with Dr. Tutrone these last few months with our daughter Violet who had had some allergies and other complications of which sorting through what's what has been a bit of a challenge but Dr Tutrone always goes through the process of elimination with us, does testing for her allergies, looks at my own personal notes and has helped us sort through the cold and flu season while dealing with Violets allergies and prescription formulas.

The staff has taken the time to educate us on the formulas, provide samples when in a bind and help us navigate the insurance for our prescription formulas. The on call staff was of great help over the holidays and got back to us in a timely manner and followed up to get us in early upon regular business hours.

We have recommended this office to several friends and family and appreciate all that this practice does for our family. Highly recommend. My only complaint would be checking in online is a bit long and repetitive and when we have been there so often it's a bit overkill but if your not visiting every week for specialty issues it wouldn't phase you too much and is user friendly with appointment reminders. Thank you SV Peds! Wishing you all a Happy Healthy New Year!

Switch to SV Pediatrics from Stony brook and i don’t regret it one bit. Each time i have to bring my daughter the drs and nurses are very friendly and patient with the young patients. I have never waited longer then 10 mins to be seen and then we are usually out pretty quick once seen. My favorite pediatrician for sure

I love this practice. The previous nasty posts seem to have silly issues or accusations. Dr Narain, PA Joanna, and NP Jen only ask for certain testing when trying to rule every single other issue out that they can. They would never just run tests to grab money. The office is clean, well run, and polite. I am probably the most obnoxious patient they have considering my anxiety and they are nothing but patient, respectful, and kind to me and my son. They are responsive with call backs and with wait times. Do you sometimes wait a bit? Yes but rarely and that's due to moms like me with 100 questions and holding the provider up. Also, some days are busier than others, especially back to school. These providers care about your children and you as their parent. I CANNOT recommend them highly enough and am so glad we chose them as our pediatricians.

Every provider here is extremely kind and knowledgable. I especially love PA Joanna, I transferred here for my two older boys and my newborn and couldn’t be happier. PA Joanna is amazing. NP and MD are wonderful as well.

I just got scammed!

On Thursday 11/9/23, I dropped off a school form to be filled out, paid $10 to get it on Friday. Got the call on Saturday at 1: 05 pm and they close at 2pm. Luckily my son was able to pick it up.

I want a refund!

I think it is kind of ridiculous to have to pay for forms to be filled out PERIODT!

I have been at this practice for about 3 years. I have not been very happy here due to various issues including one of the PA is extremely rough with the kids (she would make my daughter cry every time she looked in her ears). I started requested not to have her. I was also upset about the wait time. Always over an hour for sick or well visits. Recently though, something much more concerning happened and we will be leaving the practice. We took my son to be examined for a hernia. We told the staff when we called that he has a visible lump, some pain, and we want to see if it was a hernia. When my husband arrived with my son he told the medical assistant the same thing. The assistant left the room, came back with a throat swab and said we have to do a strep test. My husband questioned it, the assistant left the room and came back saying 'Miss Jenny really wants you to have this, belly pain could be a sign of strep. " My husband felt very pressured and allowed the test. Needless to say, it wasn't strep. When he told me the story, I right away felt this was a money grab. The same type of money grab they did during covid when basically every patient got a covid and flu test in the car before entering. When the Provider came in she told my husband that strep can cause belly pain. He reiterated the fact that there are no symptoms of strep, she looked in my son's mouth and said, "Looks good". When I asked for the paperwork to confirm the hernia, I saw that the first diagnosis for the day was "acute pharyngitis" basically a sore, red and inflamed throat-which he did not have. The lied on the documentation for the day to justify the unnecessary testing done on a child who had no symptoms of strep. I called the office manager who did her best to try to defend it. I told her this is a very clear case of insurance fraud, which I did report to the state. I told them I could no longer stay at the practice because I can't trust they are doing necessary tests on my children. I then received a letter two days later in the mail that they were discharging us from the practice because we no longer have a good doctor patient relationship. I thought the letter was quite funny. I had no intention of staying there, which I mentioned and they make it seem like it is their choice.

I did read another review from about a month ago that mentions fraud with no specifics. Can't help but wonder if that patient had a similar experience.

This office and their management is horrendous. They have condoned in malpractice and fraud. They are extremely unclean. I am constantly singled out as my child’s mother because their father has affiliation outside of the practice and access to their staff. The whole office is extremely uneducated and has made me feel uncomfortable multiple times. I am lucky if the doctor or management calls me back after showing genuine concerns for my child’s healthcare. I lost all respect for Dr. Narain after always respecting her and her way of helping me as a parent and Mother understand certain health issues. Attached is what their restroom looks like… if your child is healthy they just might get sick going to this office due to its poor hygiene and uncleanliness as a practice. Good luck if this is your new pediatrician and if not seek elsewhere in a better location.the area is not the best either. I give a shout-out to Ava who has been the only employee who has shown genuine concern and always stayed with a respectful attitude even through times of high stress due to other employees and management. Thanks Ava.

All the physicians, nurses and other medical staff are phenomenal here, which is why I have stayed with them since my oldest was born four years ago. Dr. Narain, Joanna and Jennifer are extremely knowledgeable and caring. They have all come to know my children and my kids enjoy seeing them.

I wish all of the positives about the care outweighed the inefficiency of billing and office management. The women at the front desk are always a pleasure to speak with, however the system they use through Allied needs to be updated in order to address wait time issues/overbooking. Over the last two years, I have waited at least an hour for every visit, in my car (well or sick) which is completely unacceptable operating under patient care. I pay my copay each time at time of visit, yet still get inaccurate statements that the payments weren’t satisfied. Something needs to be corrected, as these seem to be continuous issues for patients over the last several years.

The practice has lost one of their providers, which has increased wait time and lessened availability.

Extremely rude staff that does not communicate with actual doctors at all I'll assume they have no idea how there practice is being ran. They do not care if your child is sick or need an important vaccination. Not sure what they care about but there office policies an there poor manners. I'll leave my review at that avoid at all costs. Everyone of my friends an family have left this practice. If you care about your child's consider somewhere else.

Love the staff my son visits with them frequently they are always kind. We are usually in and out quickly. They have a great covid set up. The staff in this iffice work hard to make sure the visit is as pleasant as possible. They also follow up when needed to see how my son is doing. Definitely would recommend this office
