Sweets Lounge and Restaurant, Buffalo NY

Stopped in for a fish fry (saw some tasty looking pics) from the moment we arrived we got dirty looks, heard a couple racial slurs towards us being white. Bartender looked us up and down like we had something wrong with us.
We were clearly not welcome because of our race. Very sad and disapointing.

Omg. Let me tell you. I was a bit skeptical at first. The owner introduced herself to me, she was there that day. I asked for a menu and ordered the Honey Casioun fish because it sounded interesting.

If you know Buffalo, it's NOT a place where you come to get "great fish" but it was a Friday and I wanted to BUSS DOWN (INSERT FLAMING HEART EMOJI)
I ordered the wings too.
The wings came out first. #HOT & EXTRA CHRISPY like I asked.
I don't have a big stomach so I wanted to take the fish home.

But when it came out, the SMELL OF THAT HO EY CASIOUN FISH litt up the room and I wanted to est it right there.

When I tell yaa, I bit down into that crunchy skin and watched as the honey dripped off back into the box, over the fries, and leaving a slight burn from the Casioun spices.

I was completely FLOORED with the flavor. This is an experience only the strong can survive. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Buffalo so get ready you will not be disappointed

I ORDERED THE SMOTHERED PORKCHOP DINNER AND IT WAS MUCH BETTER THAN USUAL SO I ASKED WHO MADE IT KUDOS TO THE NEW CHEF TRAVIS IT WAS AMAZING I ORDERED 2 MORE THE SAME DAY

Fish was kinda hard and they forgot my shrimp.when I called girl behind the counter got very nasty

Excellent wings, my favorite is the garlic Parmesan. Great drinks and good customer service.

In Buffalo from Charlotte and decided to give them a try. We Ordered via door dash at 12am and they waited to almost 130pm to tell door dash that they have no food left. NEVER AGAIN!

Food was not great at all! Cheese fries were slices of unmelted cheese with bacon on top! Steak sub was soggy and roll was Not toasted! Mac and cheese was dry! Fish and shrimp were ok! I wouldn’t choose to eat there again for those pricesllll

Love this place. Great atmosphere, music & ofc the food. & let's not forget the drinks.which comes in handy when waiting for the food, typical wait times are longer due to a high volume of food orders being placed. But one thing for sure, they never run out.

I called the restaurant 10 times after placing my $50 order, all just to not get an answer and no food I wish I could rate the food but I never received it

I tried Sweets Lounge for the first time yesterday. If I could break up this rating into parts they’d definitely get 5 stars for their customer service and for my food being hot. The ladies who were working when I picked up my food were very friendly and I always appreciate my food being hot! The atmosphere was decent, they had the club lights going and the music bumping. Definitely would go back to dance and get my sip on.

My order consisted of:

Plain chicken wings w/ rice and gravy
Smothered pork chops w/ mac & cheese and rice and gravy
Lemon pepper haddock w/mac & cheese and green beans

The wings and the haddock dinner SLAPPED! Those were my favorite items and I would absolutely order them again. The wings were hot, crispy, and oh so juicy! The next time I go I’ll have to try them with a sauce. Generally, I never order fried fish because I always feel like it’s going to be soggy, but I took a chance and these ladies did not disappoint! The haddock was also crispy, juicy, and seasoned very well! I was mad impressed with that! Whoever’s in the back making the mac & cheese kudos to them because the mac & cheese was great! You can taste the cheese blend and the seasoning. It was great!

The areas of opportunity, for me, would be the rice, the gravy, and the green beans. The rice was good, I still smashed it, just a little overcooked. I’d suggest a rice cooker, it’s going to have your rice perfect every time!

They gravy complimented the rice pretty well and it tasted like they made it from scratch, which I give them credit for because that’s not easy to do. My only issues with the gravy was it was slightly salty, mad thick, and it kinda had a flour taste to it. It was the same gravy that was used on my smothered pork chops which brought it down a little for me but next time I’ll try the fried ones. On the plus side, the rice didn’t seem to have any extra seasoning so it balanced out the gravy.

Personally, I enjoy and prefer fresh green beans over canned ones and I can always spot the canned ones. The green beans were canned and doctored up so they were salty too. The had a nice hot sauce flavor though.

Overall, this is a good restaurant and they have good food. I definitely will go back and try their other menu items. Sorry I didn’t add anything pictures… again I smashed!

The food is delicious each time I've ordered it. They have a great selection and I refer them to all my friends.

I ordered a shrimp dinner, and the apple logs. As a seafood lover it was terrible. I was extremely disappointed. The shrimp was overcooked, and the apple logs was overcooked as well.

My food was absolutely disgusting I ordered through door dash I thought it was cold my fish was dried out I don’t know what’s going on today but the food was not good at all the owner is very rude instead of fixing the problem the owner got all defensive ‍️‍️ it’s really sad honestly

This place is terribly ghetto and dirty it's a nightclub bar/restaurant it's dirty and the food is terrible

I love the atmosphere they have really good food the chicken wings are the best I always order lemon pepper and garlic parm the owner is very very cool and I love to come there and hang out and meet new friends
