Caribbean Restaurant Sybil's reviews
9 What do you do when you lose 56 lb? You go to Sybil's and treat yourself.
This (take out only) restaurant is top of the line authentic Guyanese food. It's hot & fresh. It's a staple in the community and has been here for years. I also had a vegetable roti which is not seen here. Do not, I repeat do not go there hungry. You will buy the entire menu. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

Rice was ok, but the vegetables were hard the plantains were dry and they put salad atop my food. UNGOOD. Would not go there again. The ordering process is confusing as well. You go in and take a number but then there are 2 or 3 windows and no directions where to go. Will stick to Jamaican spots for my oxtails.
I love the breakfast food here, porridge saved me from dying after I was hungover. However sometimes they get backed up which is okay because that means their doing good. The breakfast is probably my favorite part. No hate but it seems like all the fry rice in this place is actually cook up rice. The drinks are great.
I ordered through uber eats.
Got some Chinese cake that could break your teeth. Extremely stale. Hard and dry.
The pine tarts were a little better but also stale.
They are getting rid of their old products on orders from uber eats.
Very very unhappy.
I ordered Cassava Pone, love how they make it, I was craving it. I've had their version of Jamaican Beef Patties, it's decent. I tried their Cheese Roll, it was just okay for me, I was expecting to taste more of a cheese consistency. Bake & Saltfish was good. The bread/bake was soft & the saltfish was seasoned right. One of my favorite thing to eat is Doubles. I liked it. Maybe next time I'll try their version of Roti.
So glad this place still exists. It has amazing food and brings back memories of my childhood living in NJ and taking trips here after getting my hair done in NY. I don't eat meat anymore but I love the Cheese rolls and the Pine tarts. And is anyone else in love with that fudge they have? Lol. I swear if I still lived by Brooklyn I'd have cavities by now. If this place ever closes I'll be holding a funeral and crying. Keep up this amazing food dynasty please
The servers need to take care of their customers properly and pack what the customer actually ordered.this is the second time they have given me the wrong order.it's very frustrating to find out when you get home! I don't live close by for me to go back to the restaurant. Please reiterate this fact to the servers every day if you must!
Best West Indian food by far. Always fresh, tasty and well priced, the staff is excellent and very friendly. Great atmosphere Sybil's has been around for a long time and still 5 star quality.
The food was amazing! I came here on a Tuesday evening and Jeanette provided exceptional customer service even though it was so busy! My choice of food ran out but she helped me find something else I would like, even though I never came here before. Will definitely be returning.
