Sylvan Learning of Albany

My son started Sylvan two full grade levels below where he should be. Over the course of just a few months, the staff at Sylvan were able to bring my son up to grade level, boost his self confidence, and position him well for a successful school year.

Very good experience at Sylvan. The program seems to really be helping and well worth the expense. I definitely recommend especially to anyone with children struggling in school right now.

The staff and teachers do a fantastic job! The testing is accurate. They do a great job building confidence in kids. They tutor to the skill that is lacking. We are very impressed with everything our son has learned at Sylvan Albany.

Sylvan has helped my daughter tremendously! Her progress is undeniable. My daughter's work ethic coupled with the hard work and dedication of the Sylvan Learning team in Albany has helped my daughter become a more confident and successful math student.

Sylvan has helped both my son and daughter to develop better skills and have more confidence. I am most impressed by how they really do adapt to the unique personalities of each child! My daughter says the coaches are fun and she loves earning tokens. We're glad we gave Sylvan a try.

The staff at Sylvan of Albany are very caring and take time to get to know each child individually. The needs of each child are carefully evaluated and the program is geared toward meeting individual goals based on discussion with the child and parents.

I can't say thanks enough for helping my son get back on track academically. My son is doing better in school because of the skills he learned here in helping himself. The staff challenge and support him. Awesome work! Thank you so much! He now has a solid foundation to understand and learn and grow.

Sylvan Learning of Albany has been an amazing educational center for both my son and nephew. I have seen great academic improvement and confidence in their skills.

My boys have been going to Sylvan now since the beginning of June ever since Covid hit. I was afraid they were going to be behind or struggle when the school year started again in September but since they have been there they have made such strides that I can confidently say they will not have any problems. The entire staff here at Sylvan is amazing I can’t get over how much patience they have with their students especially mine that both have ADHD. For any parents out there that feel their child needs something a little extra please sign them up it was the best decision I have made for my boys.

Sylvan has helped my daughter so much. Her skills have not only grown but her confidence as well. We are so happy with her progress. The communication from the staff is excellent. We have monthly meetings to discuss progress. They are very willing to work with the school as well. It has been a tremendous growth year for our daughter.

My son started the summer of 2019 almost 2 1/2 grade levels below in reading. He was going into 5th grade. He is now almost to grade level and is so much more confident in reading and enjoys going to Sylvan once a week. Highly recommend!

The staff there is very smart and knowledgeable. The teaching is specifically crafted to ensure that your child sees improvement. My child has seen great growth and I fear where we would be without Sylvan.

Teachers and staff are wonderful. My grand daughter's attitude towards reading has changed in eight short weeks. Goes to school all day and never complains about going to Sylvan after school for help with reading. If you have a child that needs some extra help with schoolwork give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Staff is engaging, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They are all so wonderful and make learning fun for my son, who usually dreads going to school. He asks to go to Sylvan! He has made progress in reading in a short period of time that the school was unable to do. Highly recommended with multiple different areas of tutoring available!

I can't say enough about how amazing Sylvan is! My 8 year old struggles with reading and anxiety. He fell a whole grade level behind during 1st grade, which destroyed his confidence. At Sylvan, he gets to work on reading skills at his own pace, as each child's program is tailored to that individual child's strengths and weaknesses. He's made more progress in a matter of months at Sylvan than he did during a whole year of school. Plus, his confidence is slowly building, as he receives repeated positive reinforcement at every session and is seeing his hard work is paying off. He loves going to Sylvan and I love their results.

Brining my child here has been an extremely positive experience.for the first time in a long time my child feels successful in learning! Would highly recommend to struggling families/ students!
