Sylvan Learning of Clifton Park

Sylvan Learning Center is an amazing place. They take the time to get to know your kids, and they make sure that all kids have a good experience there. When my daughters first went there, they loved Sylvan and enjoy going there each week. You can get tokens to earn toys, and you can also do many other activities to get more tokens. Good job Sylvan!

Best place ever. My son has gotten so much better in school. I am so proud of him and them for helping him along the way.

Our experience at Sylvan has been great. My 8 y/o daughter has accelerated her reading abilities and now has a more rich life because she can read during her everyday life activities. Her math has dramatically improved too because at that age, most math problems are word problems! Great work Sylvan team!

My 3rd grader just sat down and read a book, 100 pages, on her own. This is the very first time I have ever observed this! She has been going to Sylvan for only 3 short months and has grown so much in skills and confidence! I am so grateful for the Sylvan team in Clifton Park. Thank you for all that you do!

We started to bring our 7 year old son here in the spring of 2021. He was doing virtual learning at the time and has some difficulties with learning and I knew he was falling behind. My fear was that when he started back to in person schooling he would be behind his peers.

It's been 8 months that he has gone to this center and the improvements we see are wonderful. He is working on being caught back up to his peeps and he's reading skills are improving drastically. He's teachers are consistently telling us how proud they are of him and his improvements.

I will 100% recommend this center to anyone that is having doubts about where their child should be and if they need more help with getting there. The process of getting started was easy and the staff is amazing with my son who also has ADHD. They are always accommodating his personal needs and also very involved with he's teacher as well so that he's learning I on track with what he is doing in the classroom setting.

Our son, 14, has received focused and very conscientious support at Sylvan. We’ve been impressed with the responsiveness of the director, the skill and effort of the tutors and the way Sylvan has reached out to us and our son’s teachers to make sure he is getting precisely the support he needs. He’s made significant progress in a short period of time. We recommend Sylvan of CP with enthusiasm and great confidence.

If your child is struggling with academics, confidence, anxiety because they are having issues in school this is the place to be. I highly recommend the Sylvan family for your children. When my daughter started with Sylvan she was struggling and self conscious. Sylvan has stepped in and made her feel comfortable which is HUGE! Not only is she happy and confident, she is thriving. Nevaeh has been there for just a few short months but the incredible strides she is making already is all because of this amazing team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing us to be a part of the Sylvan family.

My son attended Sylvan to prepare for his SAT test. The teachers were excellent. As a result of his time there he was able to bring up his score almost 200 points. We are very glad we enrolled him in the program.

We reached out to Sylvan to help my 8 yr old son, who receives Academic Intervention Services (AIS) for reading at school. Audrey took the time to answer all of my questions over the phone and she even stayed late to give us a tour and talk about things in detail.

After having initial assessments done, we ended up bringing all 3 of our children for summer tutoring. We saw an improvement in all of them. My son’s reading has continued to improve and he loves working with Gina! My daughter’s stress with math was transformed into confidence and she is now interested in learning more. And for my older son, he connected with Bry and learned new skills to help him improve his writing.

Sylvan has communicated well with us through texts, emails, and monthly meetings. And at the end of each tutoring session, my children enjoy shopping in the student store with their earned tokens.

My granddaughter got behind in her reading progress due to the pandemic. In June, I contacted three tutoring services. When I spoke with Ms. Waterfield, I knew right away that Sylvan Learning was the right fit. She answered all my questions and she was able to schedule my granddaughter for an evaluation right away. We discussed the results and developed a plan with definitive goals and a tentative end date. Sylvan is an on-site in-person tutoring service that follows all COVID protocols. My granddaughter has made great progress and her reading level has increased by two levels. I highly recommend Sylvan Learning.

So far our experience at Sylvan has bern nothing but amazing. When my 12 old asked me when he was starting, I knew we had made the right decision! I can’t wait too see his results and growth! Thank you to Audrey and Adam for the amazing introductions!

The SAT prep course is excellent! My daughter took her PSAT and scored a 1300. Not terrible, but she wanted to apply for some accelerated programs and she would not be eligible with that score. She then took the first diagnostic SAT test at Sylvan and scored a 1280. She studied with her assigned teachers and completed the assignments each week over the course of the program. Her teachers focused on the areas of weakness highlighted by the diagnostic. She took the SAT after completing the course and scored 1490! I believe Sylvan's SAT prep course really helped my daughter improve her SAT performance. This program is worth the time and investment.

My son dreaded going to school EVERY day. He loves going to Sylvan. His focus is great because he gets to work one-on-one with teachers who know his strengths and weaknesses. Great program! Highly recommend!

We had a great experience this school year with Sylvan of Clifton Park. We noticed right away that our son was struggling with 4th grade math and reached out to Audrey at Sylvan. She was very helpful with the process, spoke with us about our options and helped us pick a program best suited for our son Charlie. Once he started his tutoring, Adam was amazing in communicating with his teacher to coordinate study material for tests. We saw a huge improvement in his grades but also in his confidence. He felt so much better going into a test having worked with the tutors at Sylvan in the days leading up to it. It was a great experience overall!
