Syosset Seafood reviews
4Fresh seafood, nice staff, clean store, good variety.expensive, but good.
LOVEEEEE THIS PLACE! FRESH FISH and HANDS DOWN THE BEST SUSHI! You would never think it based on the small place inside where the sushi is, BUT IT IS SOOOO FRESH AND GOOD! I never realized also how much food options they actually have! Although I don’t have the pics for everything I purchased I DEF recommend the following~
Tuna salad~ OH MY LORD, the BEST! One day I was ordering seafood salad and the person behind the counter also recommended the tuna as it is made with FRESH TUNA. 10000% You must try! I will never look at canned tuna the same way again…LOL! This fresh tuna salad did NOT smell fishy at all. It is SO FRESH! Makes you wonder what the heck is in the canned tuna. Anyway~ DEF RECOMMEND. I keep it in my fridge and have for lunch eating it right out of the container. It’s THAT GOOD.
Octopus salad~ Pulpo I think is the name. Same thing! SOOO GOOD! I also keep in the fridge to snack on.
Calamari Salad
Premade spinach and mushroom- great for side dish for dinner!
Swordfish~ I grill in on the stovetop!
Crabmeat stuffed mushroom~ awesome as a dinner app!
The only thing I would LOVEEE to see improved is the NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER. I LOVEEEE New England clam chowder but this one wasn’t flavorful and it was FULL of potatoes and like no clams. As someone who typically follows an Atkins lifestyle I always make an exception for this soup. Sadly, this one was not worth it~ it resembled more cream of potato soup than anything.
If someone reads this review from Syosset seafood…PLEASEEEEE, PLEASEEEEE come up with a new recipe, more (seasonings) flavor, LESS potatoes and MORE clams. Then it would be my one stop shop! Until then, I sadly need to pass!
Syosset Seafood has the freshest fish, seafood and yummy prepared dishes! Well worth the extra price over supermarket fish.
