Mexican Restaurant Tacombi reviews
15 The wife and I were looking for a quick bite before our flight back home, and we found this neat tacoria in the lower east side. The service was fast and kind.
Prices were cheaper than most places we've been to, but the flavors delivered greatly. Their horchata and Agua de jimica are so refreshing and reminsent of what I've had in Mexico. We both had the esquites, which were phenomenal, especially for the cold weather. It was almost 100% traditional if it wasn't for the sweet yellow corn, but the chipotle mayo really gives it a good kick. Lastly, the cod taco was a perfect light finisher for lunch. Flakey golden goodness with crunchy cabbage and a lovely tangy sauce to go with really wrapped things up.
When you are ever nearby, stop on in for a great bite.
Very nice place where you eat very well, the only flaw is the small portions for the price offered.
Had a delicious dinner here on the final night of our New York trip. The service here was so fast that we were in and out within 30min. We tried all the meat tacos and were happy with all of them. We particularly enjoyed the birria and Baja fish tacos.
The atmosphere is of an old garage that was turned into a taco stand next to the beach.
Menu is kind of fun. You pick what you want, how many you want and then they bring it to you. Authentic citrus sodas that do really with the tacos. The bean and pumpkin plus squash taco was really enjoyable.
Went in for dinner with teamies. The tacos were awesome. Loved the sauce. The drinks weren’t bad either. Would definitely go again.
Very nice atmosphere.
Great discovery of tacos and quesadillas. The food is good and the service is very fast despite the number of customers in this place.
Tacos, three words: greasy as hell.
I’ll probably come back and try another taco flavor. I ordered birria. Was way too greasy. The margaritas were great, though. Maybe a tad bit too sweet. Margaritas being good accounts for all three stars. No stars for the greasy taco. Sorry.
They gave us all a menu but we only had to use one, and they never asked us if it was our first time, they need to have more experience in how to try to communicate with their customers.
Atmosphere was great and food was delicious but the tacos are $7 each. That's almost the price of a margarita in happy hour! Way too expensive IMHO.
Amazing place to eat. Relaxing mood, and very experienced staff, super friendly. Highly recommended!
Nice place for a quick, casual dinner. Good food, fast times and good service. Pleasant atmosphere.
Such a nice place with such good and chill vibes! The tacos were delicious and the service was lovely!
Best quick fix for tacos, burritas (smaller burritos) and fresh drinks throughout NYC. Should out to Thanys who provided the absolute best service. We eat here every time we’re in NYC. It’s not fancy, it’s not frilly, but it’s delicious, friendly, and affordable.
This is an honest review; not here to just leave one star without an explanation. The food was tasteless; and there was no presentation it was just slapped together. In addition the waiters had this look like they're ready to just quit their job.
Honestly to succeed, please have better seasoning, presentation and hire motivated people. Thanks.
Whyd they take the burritos off of the menu? Tacombi is my favorite spot for a good burrito. I just went today bc I was craving one to come and find out they removed them from the menu and they couldn’t make the one I’ve always gotten. Super disappointing.
