Sushi Restaurant Taiki reviews
12 Delicious, high quality sushi experience! We fell into this place while exploring Cobble Hill and wow, what a find. Every bite was refined and the sushi chefs were mad cool too.
All the details were so on point, the miso soup so good, charred romaine practically melted in my mouth. And the fish was super tasty.
When I asked the chef how to pronounce the name of the restaurant, he told me that it was his name! Taiki the man was super hilarious, quick with a smile and a joke. Drinking beer while preparing the food, the whole space was filled with good times and positive energy. Great place
Chef/sushi staff are clowns. Waiters do their best. Don’t spend $200 for no reason please BK, help people that really need it. Go next door “rice&miso” same quality/produce/kitchen for $6.00: much better, much original, much simpler.
10 piece omakase experience was overrated. Fish was scaly, stringy, and unappetizing. Service was terrible, server would drop the food on our table and not say a word. Very overpriced for the quality of fish, have had much better experiences in the city at half the price. Do not recommend.
Excellent sashimi. On the expensive side but the quality is worth it. The edamame has twist - really good
Had an amazing meal and will add this to a monthly rotation for sure. Ask for the Ocean Hand Roll. The chef (who is also the owner) will know.
Chef / owner taiki is a gem of a human and has a true love of the craft. We had a perfect dinner!
Super delicious fish, literally delivered from Japan the previous day. The owner is also the main sushi chef and will chat you up at the sushi bar. Lovely spot. I can’t believe it’s not packed all the time!
Terrible stomach ache after eating here. Spending time on the toilet… I got this pic in their restroom.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an exceptional omakase dinner paired with some of the finest sake at a sushi restaurant in Brooklyn. The meal was a masterclass in the art of sushi-making, featuring impeccably fresh and flavorful seafood, skillfully prepared and elegantly presented. Each piece of sushi was a delight, with highlights including the melt-in-your-mouth toro and the delicate uni. The sake pairings were perfectly selected to complement each course, enhancing the flavors and textures of the food. The attentive and knowledgeable service, combined with the impeccable quality of the food and drink, made for an unforgettable dining experience that I would highly recommend to any food lover.
Great atmosphere, good service and quality food.
It would work better if you bring a friend
Fish was not fresh and rice was wet and clumpy. The plates were not good either. Nothing had taste.
I’m new to sushi sashimi and I have to say I was definitely in for a treat coming to Taiki. I loved my picks off the menu. The belly trio and the hand rolled salmon cucumber. My friend had the tuna tartar and the yellowtail roll. We both enjoyed the meal and we will definitely be regulars here. Thank you Taiki for the awesome service as well.
