17I especially love it whether it's the rice wine or the appetizer or the main course! This is definitely one of the best Korean food in New York, the flavor soju is very good in every flavor, I highly recommend this restaurant!
I failed to make a res online so I decided to walk in. I was the first in line when I arrived at arnd 5: 05pm on Sat, but the line expanded rapidly right after. The restaurant absorbed the crowd quickly, which I believe you could still grab a table if you arrive when it just opens.
*Rolled- Up Cod Roe Omelette
This cod roe omelette was a slay. Take 31's one was drizzled with generous mentaiko mayo. The egg rolls were pillowy and jiggly, and most importantly not overcooked. I've tried Cho Dang Gol's one but the cod roe fillings didn't live up to my expectation.
*Prime Short Rib Chapaguri
Their Prime Short Rib Chapaguri was literally the real standout. The beef was tender, while the ramyeon noodle was chewy and sauced with right amount of sweet black jjajang sauce. I wish it was served in a bigger portion. Forgive me, I was reluctant to share it with my friends. We fought for the last bite and cleansed the whole plate lol
*Korean Army Soup
Hate to say it, but the Army Soup was a miss. It was much more expensive ($26.95) than the other noodle options but winded up underwhelming. The hot pot was filled with spam, sausage, hamburg patty, ramen & American cheese in a kimchi-based stew. The processed meat tasted mid, and the whole pot wasn't flavorful.
***Note that they only open at night, from 5: 30pm till late night
My Recommendations:
Short Rib Chapaguri, Cod Roe Omelette
Worth Returning? YES craving for their corn pancake and cod roe udon
I highly recommend everything I ordered today (but I also heard other things are bad). I love the alcohol here- especially the white peach makgulli (tastes like liquid ice cream). I also recommend the cod roe omelette. Seafood cod roe udon, and pork belly with rice crepes. Two people ate about $90 and very full. I love everything I ordered so I wouldn’t mind come back again. But since there is nothing else I want to try in the menu, I am also okay with not coming back again… hard to decide 4 or 5 stars.
Finally got a reservation here! We tried their shake soju and makgoli - the makgoli was tasty but definitely way less strong than bottled ones. Sojus were great I love that they tasted like a smoothie almost and is still strong. The food was amazing! I love the garlic wasabi chicken and the rice roll pork belly! The stew was a little too spicy for me wouldn't get it again. But overall, service was great food was delicious would come back again!
This place can get packed during weekdays after work. I'd recommend either reserving in advance or heading there before 5: 30 PM to secure a walk-in table. The food is pretty decent, but not something extraordinary or over the top, and they focus on just a few dishes so it makes life easy for those who hate making choices. Service is good.
Restroom area and sink could use a cleanup though.
This Korean restaurant is an absolute gem! The braised pork belly and omelette were out of this world, bursting with flavor. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere made it a perfect dining experience. Highly recommended!
My favourite Korean restaurant in Ktown. Been there 5 times already, and I would go there every single weekend night. Best Korean fried chicken I've had in my life. Take it shake it absolutely amazing.

Best restaurant during my long trip… always missed real food while eating all kinds food.there were great hits, but also overpriced and overhyped ones. Anyways, all my friends likes here so much. Now i know why my friend recommended here so bad. All those foods were crazy:)
All rly good, but in parcitular 명란/바나나막, which was better than Jamba Juice. 명란 계란말이 has super sophisticated flavor. Menu was rly thoughtful - could tell what they were going for. And great lighting for pics ^—^. The long waiting line makes sense given the hype. And corn cheese next time: >
I recommend Her name is han; Okdongsik, as well.
옆에 Her name is han, 국밥 Okdongsik이라는 곳도 추천
The staff are friendly but that’s about it. The wasabi fried chicken pieces are so tiny and the skin is glazed with honey which ruined the dish. Way too sweet even for a Shanghainese. The same with the pork belly wrapped in rice cake. Too sweet and not suitable for human consumption. I would give 0 star if I could. Best thing on the table is the rice fish cake appt which we get for free.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while! It did not disappoint! The food is so good! My personal favorites are the Cod Roe Seafood Udon and Cod Roe Omelette. I highly recommend them. We also had the Pork Belly in Rice Crepe Wraps and Bulgogi Fried Rice. All were amazing and filling! The staff were also nice. The service is great too. Our food came out so quickly but you can tell it was fresh! It’s quite packed inside but the vibes were nice. It’s a little bit on the pricier side, so if you want to try it once, I’d say it’s worth it. Personally, i’d come back again to try more dishes (and to have the cod roe udon again!) 10/10 recommend!
A place I’ve been craving to go for a while but couldn’t get the reservation for a desired time, decided to walk in on the opening time and fortunately got the seat. Food is amazing and Jajiang noodle is amazing, wishing there’s more vegetables options though.
The korean army stew is so many toppings in a moderately spicy, warm broth! Perfect for this crazy nyc weather. And pork belly rice crepes is A MUST! Crispy glazed pork belly wrapped in soft & chewy rice cake, sweet and savory who would've thought this combo would work? !
The vibes were amazing, service was even better!
My all time fav spot in ktown! Love their cod roe seafood udon + pork belly~ it’s a great dinner spot for a pre, dinner, or a date spot! Need to make resy though as the wait can get super long, unless you go right when they open! Never had a problem getting a seat when i went at 5: 30 pm on a weekend).
Great, fun vibe with all the kpop hits. Braised pork belly with white kimchi was amazing - so tender and flavorful. Rose pasta was also amazing, we really loved the Korean meatball. They also give you rice cakes as a free appetizer! The white peach slushie makgeolli was incredible. I have to try the other flavors. Will definitely be back.
Delicious short rib black bean noodles (chapaguri), with a nice hint of heat which isn't super common with that style of noodle but was pleasant all the same. The spicy fried chicken was even better - pricey for the portion but pretty worth it. Free rice cakes too, which was nice.
Good filling meal! Jazzy and chic ambience. We had the crispy corn pancake, pork belly rice crepe, cod roe seafood udon and were duly impressed. Personally, the vanilla ice cream with dalgona was too sweet for me but all the dishes were innovative and fun to try!
