Tandoori Masala Indian Cuisine reviews
12Oh my god, my O-ring hasn’t been the same for two days, the lamb vindaloo was so incredibly delicious yet extraordinarily spicy that I am experiencing an entire gut biome cleanse. The Chana masala appetizer was amazing and delicious as was the chicken tikka masala, gulab jamuun were good as well.
Food looks and smells good; is edible. Slightly over salted but the rice was concerning since there was silver flakes of something plastic stuck within it. The place smelled like chemicals.
I live by here so I usually pick up for takeout. Food is okay, I only like the butter chicken from here. Here’s what I’ve ordered so far and how I liked it:
- butter chicken: probs my fav dish from here. More sweet than savory but that’s how I like it. Will likely only order this from now on bc every time I try to experiment with something else from this restaurant I’m disappointed.
- chicken vindaloo: nothing unique, def spicy. Has potatoes in it. Not bad not good. I prefer the butter chicken.
- crispy okra: def not what I expected. It’s literally shredded and fried okra, it feels like I’m eating really sharp grass. I feel like a rabbit eating it. So finely shredded you can’t even taste the okra. Don’t recommend.
- daal tadka: very watery. Flavors were diluted. Disappointed.
- aloo paratha: very thinly stuffed. I’ll continue to get it bc I prefer aloo paratha with my butter chicken vs.naan, and it’s the same price as garlic naan so I think it’s better bang for your buck in terms of how much it fills me up, but I’ve had a lot better.
- garlic naan: don’t remember but I feel like it was good? Pretty big size.
This place doesn’t have the best Indian food and I could categorize it a bare minimum yes (coming from a girl who knows Indian food well)
The service was slow. The lighting was off, and the guests coming in and out were a bit strange. One guy was blasting Bollywood music and cricket out loud, another women just walked in from no where, rudely cursed me, and then just walked out.
Go on a day you craze Indian food and live in this area of Brooklyn. Or don’t both going at all
I like this place and the food. Service was good. My first Indian food in Brooklyn was better than I expected. Has chicken malai, garlic Nan.
Bone dry tandoori chicken. No sauce. How can a Indian restaurant serve chicken with no sauce. Just a burnt dry piece of chicken leg with 2 bits of meat on. It’s beyond me. Anyways enjoy your meal and I’ll seek elsewhere.
I know this place has a lot of negative reviews, but I decided to give them a go all the same. Honestly I loved it. Had the salmon tikka, rice was well cooked and masala sauce was very tasty. I’d come again for sure!
Amzing peoplefood was amazing didnt get the chance to take picture i was hungry the juice is lassi mango amazing too
Vegetables were clearly frozen and under cooked. The rice containers arrived dirty. We ordered on door dash, so they said they couldn’t give us a refund. We did get a refund from door dash.
Absolutely critical to the food ecosystem of the neighborhood. I’ve tried countless dishes across many takeout and dine in experiences and have never been disappointed. Some of my favorites are the coconut naan, mushroom appetizer, spicy corn salad appetizer, and salmon. Their mango chutney is also delicious!
We got takeout and it was ok. Nothing special but not terrible either. Flavor could have been a little bolder but the Naan was good!
I can’t mix fruits with food and My vegetable korma is full of pineapple. It would be better if it had potatoes instead of pineaple and grapes. Before this plate had no pineapple in this store.
